The greatest gift someone could give,
Is to take away your pain....

What they say when you're not there?
They say they can not love you...
... all they can really do is care.
Can someone really love you,
If they're telling you to wait
Until they've given up the search
to find a BETTER mate?

If they can only give excuses?
Excuses only soften blows,
They can not heal the bruises...
Tell me, does someone love you,
If they think of you and weep?
They can only hold you, in their dreams...
So they can't wait to sleep.
Someone who really loves you...
They're cleaning up your mess.
They'll scream and kick if they cant have you.
Because they'll take nothing less.
Be careful who you give love to.
Be careful how you spend your time.
You could be loving the wrong someone...
... While real love gets left behind.

I like your rhyming scheme in this one. Your vocabulary has expanded, I see.
Good work on this one, although I winced at certain parts--only 'cuz truth hurts a bit. I hate to see what everyone else usually thinks in writing.
But none-the-less, good job.

Naw, it's not like you're hooked on phonics or somethin'. I rarely read your work, so when I do, I'm amazed at how you can find different ways to rhyme your words together. The way you put them together is interesting, because you don't use the same format for every rhyming poem you write.
I'll rephrase my last statement, for it's not your vocab, it's your word play that's expanded. Kudos!
