Just a poem I wanted to write honoring the poets, weather it be written or spoken this one is for you! I hope I did a good job on this, so please let me know what you think!
SPOKEN WORD by BlueFox1
Words spoken destined to reach their highest plain
Like the eternal phoenix rises from is slumbering ashes
The warmth of voice wraps around the hearts of many
As our minds begin to transcend the world’s eternal bend
As poets we spend our time putting our emotions into words
Thoughts flowing through our body like the essence of blood
We take our pens and begin to write hoping that we’ll be heard
Poignantly putting our minds to the test so lessons can be learned
One by one the our words ring out like freedom bells of liberty
Catching the curiosity of many like flies to the web of a spider
As our voices transgress boundaries it reaches out to inspire
Creating a movement within many causing a revolution of art
Voices touch each one of us differently like rain hits the ground
Remembering the writings and teaching that we have earned
Poets begin to take form as their creations are realized all around
Earning the titles of poetry known to us as spoken word

OMG that is one amazing poem its so perfect in every way please do more i love this one and would love to see more
wow this is sooooooooooooo good. i love it. it does explain what real poets go through. it's kinda like i got to see what went through shakespears mind with this poem. it's so good great metaphors. loved it.

I couldn't find a flaw in it ^^ Your poem was so descriptive, wildly imaginative.. such an honour to all poets. And yes, a poet's hope is only to express their feelings. Very well written >.< Hope to see more.
