That’s why it’s called a crush.

Feelings that I’ve always had to hide
I’ll always keep them deep inside
I won’t tell anyone these whispers within
Not even my dearest friends

Fear is what keeps these things
Caged inside my soul
Years ago children so mean
Your laughter and taunts
Haunts all of my dreams

How I hate your cruel smiles
That makes me keep it all in
I can’t forget or let go
No matter how hard I try

I’ll forever remember those eyes
So happy filled with satisfaction
After telling one forbidden secret
It crushed one young girl’s heart

The boy didn’t like her
So he laughed with the rest of them
How could he feel something for that girl?
