That Thing You Do



I never thought that I could ever have a
friend like you. Some one who is kind and
special, and likes the same things I do. You
always find a way to bring a smile to my face
whenever I'm feeling blue. A friend til the end,
I've always loved that thing you do.

We never say too much out loud, but we
understand each other just as well. I often
wonder if I just dreamed you up, or if this
was all some spell. In any case it matters
not, for I wouldn't have it any other way,
than to have our friendship strong and true.
And I can never get enough of you ...always
doing that thing you do.

I bet you are probably wondering as to what
thing I am referring to. As far as that thing
you do ...well I suppose I could give you a
clue. It's something you do all the time without
even trying, something no one else can do quite
like you. That thing you do is being yourself, as
that really isn't something new.

So take this little passage in your mind, and just
remember that you are who you are and everyone
should admire you for that. So don't ever frown or
think bad about yourself, no matter how dark the
times may be, cause no matter what happens, I
always have you back. So you just keep living your
life to the fullest, and seeing things all the way
through. And I'll keep bragging to people about my
coolest friend and that thing you do.
