Thread: A tribute to Kenshin Himura

Hey I really like them!!!!! I think that you should do one of the present... Like there is a novel where Kaoru "dies" and kenshin slowly kills himself... (but of course he doesn't and Kaoru didn't die....) I think you should do some thing with kaoru and kenshin and maybe sano( YAY!!!!!!-a friend) and megumi or something with sano's past.... I think that would be cool....

"The Blood rains, will it stop?"

In the cold harshness of the winter,
I've lost all sense, only speaking Tomoe's name.
I followed her fooysteps in the snow,
I walked on, seeing all my victims laying around me.
Red Blossoms fell around as I felt her soft hands covering my eyes,
I turned around and saw no but her blue scarf covered in my blood.
The wound I had on my cheek was bleeding,
I picked up her scarf for no reason.

I had recevied word from Iizuka,
Tomoe was a Shogunate spy planning to me.
She had good reason to hurt me as I had taken her Kiyosato away,
Yet she had loved me back as I had loved her.
I could now see the blood soaked path,
My victims slashed in half, stabbed fatally.
There he, Kiyosato laid on the ground with the red hibcusis I had laid for him.

Pained seemed to become dull to me,
As the Shogunate's assassin tried to kill me.
Somehow I defeated them one by one,
I only spoke Tomoe's name out.
Only her image remained with me as I got weaker,
But Tomoe had somehow gave me strength to walk towards her.
I lost my senses, hearing the snow crunched under my foot.
Seeing the white covered forest,
Only seeing my sins haunting me till I saw the forest again.

I saw him, the man who would say he would kill Tomoe after he defeated me.
I couldn't allow it, Tomoe was the one who gave something to me.
The ability to live as a normal person who loved another.
I only wanted to see her face once more.
Yet I was slow in my movements and as I struck him,
Tomoe was once more my sheath,
Protecting me, a drawn out blade from him.
I caught her as she fell, we sat in the snow.
I couldnt do anything to save her,
And yet she said to me, "I'm sorry, my darling"
I let my tears fall as she held her dagger,
She gave me a lasting scar forming a cross.
This was my mark for the sins I have committed,
For the sins I would commit in order to help Katsura.

As I carried her body towards our house,
Enishi was was looking at me with such anger.
I did not do anything as I wanted to lay my wife to rest,
In the final resting place where our love had blossomed.
I would no longer the assassin in the shadows,
I would no longer hide from my demons,
I would be the one to lead the war to an end,
My comrades would die around me as I wore Tomoe's scarf.
Whenever I rested, I felt Tomoe's spirits watching over me,
Loving me as we did before her death.
I would continue to live for Tomoe,
For had those died protecting me.

Men would fear at the sight of me and my cross shaped scar,
Some would come to challgene me to prove their strength.
But in time, I would become to be a rurouni,
Carrying out my ideal of protecting the innocent and the weak.
My sword drenched in blood cannot be used for that purpose,
A sakabotō would help me in keeping my vow to never kill.
That was my decision,
To disappear from history and become a rurouni.

Iizuka was the field examiner for the Chōshu clan. He's the guy who was a double agent and who betrays Kenshin.

Rurouni means wanderer for those who do know and those question posed to me. Sakaboto is the reserved edged sword. This is a tribute to Kenshin Himura which means tht these poems will be from his point of view, not the as a outside viewer of the series.

RK - I'm doing a tribute to Kenshin Himura which means tht Kaoru(so hot in my view), Sano, Yahiko, Megumi, Aoshi will appear in my poems but as Kenshin encounters them. okay? This one towards the end i think it is really heart wrenching in my view as i felt in the pain of losing a loved one. Anyway, Enjoy it and plz comment and give constructive critism wen possible.

Here's some critism for ya. One why so long. Second you have no heart in it. Just plan words written in a good way. Plan no feel, but I guess he's like that. The good part is you stuck to what he may have felt. And the story well. I like it. Which I can understand this one.

I like it man. Kenshin kicks a**. Even thou I've only seen the movie.

"The chance to start anew"

I wandered from town to town,
Helping the innocent whenever I could.
I thought my past had caught up with me,
When a strong wilful, beautiful, lady shoved me.
She accused me of being Battousai and grabbed my sword,
Only to be dissapointed that it was only a reserved edge sword.
She was Kaoru Kamiya of the Kamiya-Kasshin-ryu dojo,
She ran off like the wind towards a commotion throwing my sword up.
Leaving me to catch but my skills had not faded.
I got it and headed in the direction she ran off,
She was like a free spirit.

I saw her confronting the man claiming to be me,
She had no weapon or speed to take the large man on.
I sprinted in and saved her.
She had fainted in my arms,
Leaving me to take her back to her home.
It was fortunate that a doctor friend was there to heal her.
She had soft looking skin and her eyes held great spirit.
I helped her out to take care of her dojo,
It was like something of a dream to me.
Katsujin-ken, the sword which gives life.
It was as though fate had led me to this very materialisation of my vow.
To protect, to never kill anyone.

Soon the false violent man was back,
Along with more men believing the sword could only blood.
The fight was over before it even started,
Like my old days, my Battou jitsu was unparallel.
Knocking everyone out and crushing the would-be Battousai,
Destorying the use of his hands.
Kaoru found out about who i was,
I knew I had to go, I was flith among her dojo and her ideal.
A man who has drawn blood countless times,
Yet she didnt care because Kenshin Himura was standing in front of her,
Not Battousai, the man slayer.
She like an angel who decided to let me stay,
Though she had unusual strenght for woman.

Enjoy ppl, u should this is the first eps of the series. Kaoru is a strong, wilful, fighter who owns her father's dojo and meets Kenshin which they have many adventures together. PLZ COMMENT TO KEEP THIS ALIVE!!! I may not have time post another soon. So plz. Anyways, i'm gonna do poems on sigificant points of his life.

"The Boy with Pride and Heart*

It was few days since I was accepted into Kaoru's home,
She was working me hard like a slave but I did not complain.
I soon found 2 youthful sisters who played with me while I was washing,
They made me truly smile for the first time in years,
Not since my dear Tomoe had given me happiness.

We walked through the town and I saw this young boy,
His hands were like quicksilver, taking an elder's wallet,
But he had a heart of gold and returned it when a child was full of joy.
I smiled and and said to him that it was a good thing had done,
His eyes were full of pride and run away, not needing my words.
Later on that day, the same young man tried to take my wallet,
But unfortunately Miss Kaoru did not let him get away.
They argued but I took my wallet from her and placed in his hand,
"Take it, your need is greater than mine"
We walked away but I felt his wrath and
Pain on my head as he threw it at me,
He shouted out at me "I am Yahiko Myōjin, son of a samurai!!
I dont need your kindness"

I smiled and put my hand on his head,
"Then grow up strong and be a good man"
He fought back his tears and ran off.
I was sure that I would see him again.
I found out that Yahiko was forced to work for a gang,
In order to pay off his debt for caring for his mother.
Unfortunately this was all lies just to keep him working.

As ever, Miss Kaoru felt there was injustice and ran off to find him.
I arrived later much and saw these men thought they could take me down,
Unfortunately for them, they were about to knock out in flash.
I entered the room where Yahiko and Miss Kaoru,
Silence entered the room with me.
I was speaking and a rather rude person interrupted me,
With the hilt of my sword and send his head into the ceiling.
I merely requested that they would be released
And there was to be no more touble from them,
He kindly agreed and I could see the fear in his eyes.
He knew I was from the Toukgawa era where blood was shed every night,
He could see the demon in my eyes and allowed us to go free.

Kaoru offered Yahiko a place in her dojo to become stronger,
He did not understand why the kindness of strangers would come to him.
He would in time understand why the world needs that sort of kindness,
Yahiko Myojin would learn what it means to be truly strong.
