Just another tribute to Wolfwood. To me personally, this represents Wolfwood talking to himself from his past and reflecting on unfullfilled dreams.
By the way, I'm talking about Wolfwood from Trigun. Please, I love constructive criticism.
God of Wine
Every thought that I repent
Theres another chip you havent spent
And youre cashing them all in
Where do we begin to get clean again?
Can we get clean again?
I walk home alone with you
And the mood youre born into
Sometimes you let me in
And I take it on the chin

The God of wine comes crashing through
The head lights of a car that took you farther
Than you thought youd ever want to go

She takes a drink and then she waits
The alcohol it permeates
And soon the cells give way, and cancels out the day
I cant keep it all together

And the sirens song that is your madness
Holds a truth I cant erase
All alone on your face
Every glamorous sunrise
Throws the planets out of line
A star sign out of whack, a fraudulent zodiac
And the God of wine is crouched down in my room
You let me down, I said it, now Im going down
And youre not even around

Looking through I see you
Searching for something I could never give you

Wow! Like Fighter said, the visualizations you portray in your poem really pull it all together. Wolfwood's one of my favorite characters, and if there's anyone worth giving a tribute to, it's Wolfwood! Keep up the good work, Jet!

Go for it! I love it when Wolfwood gets his props! I don't care whose is better, as long as it's dedicated to the coolest character ever.
wow man that was awesome, i juts got a question for you, who is the god of wine?
The god of wine can be whoever you want him to be. That's the nature of poetry. When I was writing it though, my thought 's of the God of Wine were that he was
**************SPOILER WARNING***********************
a symbol of Wolfwood's death. While he lay dying on the church floor, he was thinking of how he could never reconcile himself from the path he had chosen during his lifetime. He couldn't get "clean", and he can't get "back". If he could have lived longer, perhaps he could have repented, but the God of Wine forbade him through his death. Remember Wolfwood's last words: "Please, God, I don't want to die! There's so much left I still have to do!".
