For once, I am truly happy
No pain, no suffering
I am now my own person
No longer will I be a scared individual
My past is all I know, so new things will be hard
It's the price for happiness, or in my case it is
After a while, you get tired of feeling nothing but pain
When all you're told is lies, it's hard to trust again
Now I'm looking in the mirror
Thinking of all the bad feelings
Mostly betrayal and pain
Pain physicaly and mentally
Countless times I've struggled
It's all behind me now
I watch as a smile spreads slowly on my face
No more pain
