These days are changing.
And that's what I fear the most.
For change can take place
in the form of many things.
Life's metamorphisis can give itself
new meaning or destroy everything in it's path...
New faces come in to play.
And, sometimes, it's horrifying
when others become affected.
"Don't talk to strangers," is what we're told.
Now I completely understand what mom meant...
How am I supposed to be through all this?
Can I step up to the plate? Can I swing the bat?
If I do, will I knock one out the park, or will
I be struck out? ...More like struck down.
This is why football is America's new past time...
Feelings become broken--as do hearts.
Battles are lost on both sides,
as the people are searching for answers,
peace and solitude.
In the end, nobody wins without a loss...
Bonds are endangered, trust broken.
One must do as one says in order to build it.
An architect cannot design such a complex idea.
But I will build without blueprints--no more talk...

I was always taut that talk was cheap. I didn't feel like many words had any worth until I started writing. However the ones that come outta peoples stupid mouths, those I still don't believe. People lie. To themmselves and everyone else. Honesty is the best policy. Very well written, felt poem. The wording interested me for some reason. *shrug.*

Umm... How should I explain?.. I guess I used sports because I felt I had no other choice, if that makes sense. I was writing and noticed I had a bunch of baseball terms down, so I figured I'd kinda use it as a comparison to emotions, plus, more people watch football these days, so it's like, "Baseball's too complex for me, I'd rather watch football. My worries are too complex for me, I'd rather do something else." That kind of thing.
