Thread: Velvet

Sorry it's so short everyone, but I am fairly satisfied with it, so I hope you all will be too ^-^


There's a wide, bright sun smiling at me from
a place out of reach, and there's a banshee
whispering to me through clouded thoughts.

The storm has subsided, a new face has
washed upon the shore.

Someone to sing to, someone to weep to, another
dream I've been having or reality?

Thoughts so loud, I'm almost sure someone
might hear them sounding off within me.

My heart pulsating from time to time resides
within the words built up in my throat, unsaid,
forever staying the same.

And maybe there is such a thing called hope,
maybe it will all end a storybook ending, and
maybe I'll find myself at the bottom of a page.
