That is point of everything. I really think that even if poem doesn't need critics it
should atleast be given nice comment about what she/he liked about it.
What were those parts that really were fantastic or allmoust fantastic.

Too bad that this rule ain't applying in FanArt-section of gallery. If picture was
drawed, people really should give their rating by it. As well as they give in
poems. But this rule is actually big step into better direction.

Love hurts...trust me I know, I really do...

Wow, I agree with thi rule 100%! I just really started posting poems and I'll get is a few, That's good, Keep it up, and that was sad and stuff. I do get a few occasional paragraphs from people but not many at all. If my poem sucks or doesn't make sense I wanna know. Tell me if my poem is crap or tell my why you like it and why.

Edit: My post is an example why targeting 1-line posting is probably less effective than just establishing a minimum word limit. It's very, very unlikely that someone can make a valid post with 1 line, but it can be done. Another example:

"Putting a 70 letter, or a 20 (maybe 15) word, minimum limit to posting should be enough."

    - 72 letters (including punctuation like parentheses and commas), 17 words (including numbers). Just to give an example of how long it would be. That quote is also one-line, to reiterate what I said in my edit above.

i think this rule is very important
because if it wasnt for the for the
way peolpe the poem's i do write
i would still be worse. but i am a
bit better now because of the responces
from everyone. so this rule is very helpfull
to first time poet's like my self
I'll be the one to protect you from your enemies and all your demons
I'll be the one to protect you from a will to survive and a voice of reason
I'll be the one to protect you from your enemies and your choices son
They're one in the same, I must isolate you...
Isolate and save you from yourself

I agree! The rule should be inforced! AO users should give more depth into there poems. I complement them and then tell them WHY I like the poem. I try to avoid leaving small useless posts, (save that for the chatroom ) but overall this is a good rule to help users think more in there posts.

I agree with the new rule, it's unfair to the poets to check their threads only to find vague and completely unhelpful posts that make them wonder if they only posted to up their count. I think that if you're going to praise them on their work, you should at least point out what you particularly liked about their poem.

    great rule, jaderabbit

I agree with Saz, she's right, I mean, I'm a writer, and I'm sure all writer's will agree with me when I say, we always try to make our work the best we can, by criticism, but now some people are ignorant and hate criticism, so there is that we have to keep in mind as well, I'm 100% with this rule.

There is something so human in the desire to never give up, while at the same time, never giving it your all?
