A beautiful song I once heard,
I turned toward that voice,
Enchanted by its sound,
My soul reached out to its beauty,

I found myself lying at your feet,
Looking up at you, I awaited persecution,
But your eyes alighted and a smile washed across your face,
You held out your hand and I embraced your pain,
As you did mine,

I knew than, and even now,
That if you were to leave, my love would not fall,
If there were hate, still no change,
For you had given me such a gift,
So that my love has become immortal,

I am luck yet unworthy,
Still you concern yourself of my own,
Now that I am next to you,
I no long watch from afar.
