Thread: Why is Love = Pain?

Love, what is it?
Lust? Omnipresent? Vague? Entity?
Why is it that love causes so much pain?
Why is it that hate is the subsequent creation of this … love?

Love used to mean so much before;
It used to come from the heart
They meant it, in all honesty, from their spirit
They didn’t use it nor did they dare miff countless people

But look at it now,
It’s just an empty vessel, full of useless and untrue shit,
Not one human means “I love you” from their heart,
They continue to loathe this wonderful emotion,
And abhor it when the tables are turned …

Why do we not love properly, openly from our heart, spirit and mind?
Why do we simply keep on hurting people?
Why do we not understand that this is not the way love is meant to be?
Why do we not feel the pain we cause those who believed in us?
What makes us so uncompassionate enough to backstab the ones we love?

Why … ?

Is it because of lust?
Is it because of the way we think?
Is it because in today’s society looks are considered first?
Is it because we want more, and more, … ?
Or is it simply because we are not satisfied and don’t bother continuing?

All these questions rave inside my mind
What should I do?

I cry

Why do I bother loving?
They always embittered the sanctity of it…
What should I do …

I sigh hopelessly

Why can’t one, just one person stay loyal to me,
Or towards the one they want to be with …
Why can’t we all just stop cheating behind their backs
Why can’t we love properly…

I just sit there, wrapping my arms around my knees,
Hiding my face, probably the reason nobody loved me,
Concealing myself; probably the reason I always get this way
I cry, I howl, I loathe, call it whatever you want
I hate myself for being alone; I hate myself for being sad
I hug myself tighter, the pain in my throat throbbing
My eyes sore, my heart killing [me],my back bleeding

When will all this stop?
When will I be truly happy?
When will we realize the pain we give just because we say …
“I love you…”
