Aloha!

I just signed up to these forums, I've been a casual anime fan since I was younger, the first Anime's that I ever saw were Vampire Hunter D when I was around 15, before that when I was around 10-13 my friend introduced me to Ranma 1/2. At the time I also would watch Lotus Wars. A few years later I also watched Ninja Scroll for the first time. I've loved anime but have only really gotten into it lately.

In my home town getting your hands on manga and anime is very difficult and barely ever shopped online at that time. About a year ago a buddie of mine in 29 Palms introduced me to two mangas, one was Hellsing and the other was Samurai Deeper Kyo. He had every book out at that time and I read them all in a matter of days. I've seen a bit of the Hellsing OVA and the other version as well but to me it's not the same as the manga. I've also seen a bit of the SDK series and it's the same as Hellsing for me.

When I was leaving 29 Palms to come out here to Hawaii a buddy gave me Trinity Blood which I love and Elfen Lied which I also liked a lot. All my gear is packed up because I went to Iraq and just got back so I didn't get to watch Hand Maid May or any others he gave me. Some other favs are Black Blood Brothers, Gungrave (obviously), Death Note (top favs), Afro Samurai and I'm just getting into Ergo Proxy.

As far as about me, I'm 25 I live in Hawaii, I'm in the military about to get out and hopefully go to college to get my BA in International Studies with a focus on Japanese Culture. I have an Associates in Computer Information Systems. In the military I'm a communications specialist, specializing in fixing ground and air communications systems.

I have 2 daughters who are the loves of my life, I'm not married, I am happily single. I started getting into anime a whole lot out here because anime and manga are pretty big here, unlike my home town.

I enjoy watching movies, anime, listening to music, I make my own music, I like taking pictures, like doing graphic art, like taking home video, studying different cultures, martial arts, and occult. I'm also like horror movies and b-movie style ones, and I like all the cheesy Vampire movies no matter how good or bad.
