I find it interesting that you chose Konnichiha as the title. You aren't French by any chance are you?

Nope. I just dislike saying hi in English, to me it is so boring. Using other lanuges is fun cuase not alot of people get it.

Actually I was referring to the use of h instead of w in konnichiha/konnichiwa.

こんにちは is usually translated as ko(こ) n(ん) ni(に) chi(ち) wa(は)
は is indeed usually pronounced "ha" but は as a topic particle is pronounced "wa". It is this particle that has become a part of words like こんにちは or 今晩は.
