When I goto layers 3 and 4 my burn tool doesn't seems to want to work I did try this earlier and it was working now it just craped out. If I add a gradient to the layer it seems to work but wouldn't that just be pointless...?

? you don't burn layer 3 till the very last step... when U finish making your sig and want to make the border u drag layer 3 up all way top and burn it ... or If you ment to show your gradiant bg just hide layer 3....
