Thread: Installing CuteNews into your site.

CuteNews is a system that lets you put content into a HTML made website online!

What you need...
1) Go to the CuteNews website, www.cutephp.com and download the latest version of cutenews.
2) Winzip, or an unzipping program.
3) An FTP client, I will be doing this is CuteFTP.
4) A host that supports PHP.
5) No freewebs websites can use CuteNews, unless its a paid version I think.
6) The ability to be able to wait.

1) Once you have downloaded cutenews, open up your FTP program, I will be using CuteFTP, so its best you find and download that.
2) Upload your cutenews folder into your Public_HTML, www or something that you put all your pages in.
3) Rename it cutenews.
4) Click into that folder, then again, you should have something like this...

just bigger.
5) See the data folder? Select Properties / Chmod.
6) Change the bottom texbox, that has 3 numbers in it, to 777. The checkboxes below it should change. Click apply.

Now go to http://www.blahblahyoursiteblahblah....tenews/install... follow all of that, your done! You've, hopefully, installed Cutenews! If you don't understand, or have Questions, PM me, Broken Wings!
