Overview:
Pretear is about Himeno Awayuki, a 16-year old girl who is in a critical stage of adjusting to her new life. The drastic change in her life happened when her father remarried a wealthy business woman, named Natsue who has children of her own Mayune and Mawata. They don’t even bother to treat her as a part of the family, so Himeno feels that she is an outcast.
Himeno’s dilemma is getting along with her new family. All she wanted is to have a normal life with a family to call her own. She feels that living in a castle like home is like living with no family.
Little does Himeno know her life will be transformed when the Princess of Disaster escapes from the realm of Leafeania. The Princess of disaster begins seeding the land with demon larva, and intends to suck all the Leafe—the life force of all beings—from the world!
The seven Leafe Knights are Hayate, Sasame, Kei, Go, Mannan, Hajime, and Shin. They are the world's protectors of Leafe, or life energy. The Knights’ mission is to find the girl who will become their new Pretear, “Princess of Light. They knowledgeable about the Pretear’s special ability to Pret, or to combine souls, with each of the Leafe Knights to turn into a powerful warrior with the abilities of the Knight she Prets with.
There was a time when Hayate was walking when he notices that there is something that is moving in the bushes, thinking it was a demon larva. As he was about to investigate further, Himeno accidentally jumps over him. Hayate fell hardly in the ground and Himeno was at the top of him. Then Himeno glances on Hayate, she thinks that Hayate was good looking and she blushed.
Himeno was about to punch Hayate when she felt a static shock (a proof that she is the pretear). that encounter changed her ordinary life into a life that has a mission to save the world.


Personal opinion:
From the first episode of Pretear, it captivated by interest. IT has an enchanting story line, with the unpredictable twist and turns. The graphics are really good :2thumbs: especially the Leafe knights. The only downside of Pretear, is the number of episodes... too short.
but all in all, it is worth watching!!!!

This is like the male version of Sailor Moon. We have male sailor scouts, lol

I don't remember why I decided to watch it, but it turned out okay.

Pretear uses the classic shoujo/magical storyline with bi-shounen characters. Its nothing new, but it is nice to see some classic storyline done today. Wouldn't recommend it to everyone unless you are a fan of magical girl type anime.

As for me, I never thought that I would enjoy it, there were some fun parts and the suspence, fights etc. is nothing new. I just didn't expect myself to choke or the "shit, I feel like crying" from this one - damn that ending.

I like Pretear very much... though the twist are a bit predictable. But really a MUST WATCH! >.<

Pretear is an anime that is really fun to watch^^
there are also episodes that will make your head turn about.

All i know is that Pretear is a nature-filled Anime..and hey! They Protect the leaves!! Great show...good influence to others....I'm sure nature lovers will love it..
