Did anyone watch the show on SciFi last night? Apparently according to some theories, the crystal skulls are supposed to save us. Though they did mention (briefly) that the upcoming event might just be a change.

no um what was the show/movies name and ill watch it later on and do u know if its based on theories that r true r false its just sometimes they can be false thats all

There was also one on History channel. They don't actually check their shows for accuracy so they are often quite entertaining though not factual.

She says they are stylistically unlike pre-Hispanic depictions of death's heads, and often show microscopic marks from cutting tools unavailable in pre-Hispanic times.

It's possible that the near-human sized fakes may have been inspired by two real crystal skulls now on display at Mexico City's respected National Anthropology Museum.

Much smaller and less perfectly carved than the ones held at the museums in Europe, these jewelry-sized trinkets, about an inch in height, are in the Aztec and Oaxaca collections, where the museum classifies them as either late pre-Hispanic or early colonial.

The skulls' legend has spawned a new breed of followers.

New-agers have associated the skulls with the belief that the Mayan "Long Count" calendar runs out on Dec. 21, 2012, when it reaches the end of a 5,126-year cycle. According to this theory, all 13 skulls must be reunited and lined up together to prevent the world from falling off its axis.

For example the show claimed there are only 7 known skulls but in reality there are hundreds sold around the world and only 2 possible real ones that are about 1 inch tall. Heck the story may have even been made up by the French trader in the 1860's. Still it makes a good movie.

The show was something called the Secret of the Crystal Skulls or something like that. They went with the owner of the first one found to Beliz to try and recover another one or two (they didn't succeed). Throughout the whole thing, they told theories and showed experiments performed on the Skulls. They talked to scientists, New Agers, Mayans, and Conspiracy Theorists to get their input on it. According to the program, the skulls are a vital part to the prophecy.

but how r the skulls a vital part to the prophecy there just made out of crystals and anyone can make them

One theory of the skulls says that the stones hold data, some of them ARE made out of the same materials we now make microchips from. Supposedly, we'll be able to figure out how to retrieve the data when the time comes. Another theory is that they hold a kind of energy which will help neutralize whatever is coming.

but how would u find the skulls when the time will come its not really making any sense to me on the skulls its just weird also how can u tell if there real of fake and if they have data or energy to save the world when the time comes this is so confusing

Maybe there is someone in this world destined to bring them together and who can tell
real from fake or maybe they are already where they need to be just waiting for the
time to come or eveything I just said is way to far fetched.

i didnt think of that good point r like u said it could all be fake and the world will keep on spinning and nothing wil happen at all
