You seem to have a problem with people still talking about a subject when you don't want to. :P

To every one else:
You know it has occurred to me recently... what are the actual odds that radio waves could actually travel that far. I would imagine they would get rather corrupted just leaving our system let alone arriving in another. Would there be any way to actually discern them from static especially with language differences?

to everyone else:
well if they do get mixed up then it might lead to false things and things that are not "easy" to understand. But if they are going around how do you know that "they" are not looking for other "liveing" things

Exploration? If they were doing that surely they would have contacted us publicly by now.

If they aren't exploring though I see no reason they would come here. The glare from the sun makes it almost impossible to see whether there is planets around any sun without just going and looking.

well mybe they are going to be traveling to another planet that "they" have or something. Well mybe "they" could not get to the public and the military took them out (guns and stuff...) well there is a lot of factors that go into this all =P

So you are saying that a society capable of traveling between worlds at faster then light speed would not be sufficiently advanced to access our world communications and contact people because the military won't let them?

anyways have you see the movie were the "thing" came to the planet and died because of the germs and things that they have no imune system to... it might be like that or something else.

... and you just gave the best reason against alien abductions there is. Anyone who knows about bacterial/viral infection and transference (and assumably at that tech level they would) would never dream of kidnapping someone from a foreign country/world for an hour or two to take samples possibly fatal to them. That is a long way to go just to collect biological warfare agents and could prevent any possible positive contact in the future.

Exploration means trade/profit. You don't make a profit by probing the occasional cow for 40+ years.

well I say they never leave their ships (in stories) the ones (in stories) that do leave their ships are dead ones. HA! (mybe they are comeing up with something to reverce the effects of the bacteria and germs...)
(also never really said "expliration")
