well, various peoples have lived alongside animals just fine. Besides, im asking in a non biased way, so what if animals give people diseases or attack us, in my an unbiased opinion, we deserve 10x that amount for all weve done to nature. WE are the assholes, and if u cant try to at least coexist with them, well, i guess we are a bunch of bitches who are afraid of a lil change.

I'm no environmentalist or anything, but even I know that if you let the ozone layer deplete, you will burn up. If the polar caps melt, we will have some flooding issues. Actually god made the earth for humans and he gave us animals to be are food so actually the earth is for the us humans but do you ever that when ever an animal is in trouble (endangered species) we help them and try to make there numbers big. We humans try to help the animals as much as we can but we wont beable to live with them if we want the life style we have (which is a great life style). Did you ever hear the story of the family that was raising bobcats and they where doing this for years and one day one of the bobcats just bit this family's little girl's neck and killed her and the bobcat was trained animals are impossible to live with in harmony guys.
hahaha god made the earth for both humans and animals. Animals are living things themselves, they are way more than food. true humans rule over them, but that doesnt mean god loves us more than them. Doesm god love a king more than a peasant? of course not. Besides, theres numerous passages n the bible that says god cares for the welfare of the earths animals. eden, the PERFECT world, had humans living with animals, not in our stomachs.
If it's the idea of religion, then God created both humans and animals slightly equally.
We humans were given roles to take care of animals, and animals were given roles to take care of us. In the end, we ended up with a cycle that we all helped each other out. What made us humans separate was our abstract intelligence, which would have given us a much higher role than just a food chain matter - it would have given us the role of a Guardian.
Without us, the Earth would STILL take its natural course, and the food chain would continue to change as it normally does over years. However, we humans had the knowledge and skill in order to make things run "perfectly".
Instinctual urges and territorial matters would easily be smoothed out and a different form of mental evolution would take place if we started the process correctly. Our "food chains" of today would be considered barbaric and obsolete if that perfect world truly existed.
An eternal world could be created that defied any laws that would later burden our temporary selves. Or so they say, at least.
However, we humans decided to believe that we were much more important - basing several ideas and philosophies around ourselves, making ourselves the main purpose of all these creations. Tainting many "original laws" to support ourselves. Whether you're Christian or not, you should know of the previous religions and lost religions that existed before (and barely still during and after) Christianity, Catholicism, Judaism, and etc...
If you remember correctly, a good number of these religions worshiped not only nature and its creatures: But existence in itself.
Many religions created along the way would cast down these beliefs and spread rumors of horrid things that these religions did and believed in.
... why?
There were several factors, but one of the biggest factors was this: Self Power.
Whether government seat, wealth, or arrogance - many 'leaders' destroyed beliefs and religions in order to put their footprint in this temporary world.
...and that, is why many beliefs hold humans to high regard. Because we destroyed the ones that did not.
Humans and other animals are not exactly the same - and henceforth, don't deserve the same treatment - just the same as you don't treat a mosquito the same as a butterfly, or a buffalo the same as an elephant. All of us have our wants and needs, but it is common and current religions and teachings that have taught us at youth that we are better than animals - that we are the central part of existence. Even in our "selfless" religions do we see ourselves as a key piece to EVERYTHING - when in reality: everything is a key piece to us.
Nowadays, our hardwork of selfishness and power has lead us to the point where we have changed the rules of the world. At least, the rules that we perceive. We are the top of the food chain, and henceforth, we are better than other creatures. ...a lie that can barely hold itself. And so us humans fear most other animals, for without our comforts, we fear that they'll be our end. For by our standards, the real top of the food chain is THEM when we're trapped in the wild with nothing but simple tools.
So... do we treat animals as equals?
No, we treat them for who THEY are. Just as we'd expect them to treat us for who WE are. ...we wouldn't want them to put us in an aquarium, believing that we should breathe water because they can. And we also would rather not be serving as their slaves and entertainment just because we aren't as physically strong as some of them.
...no, equal treatment in its basic form is not only ineffective in this situation: But stupid. It wouldn't work.
We humans have the capacity to understand these other animals, but we'd rather not - for the sake of fear and/or inconvenience.
And manytimes, I believe that's a safe choice... for animals ARE starting to see us in a different light by the fashion we treat them. ...I seriously would not want to be stuck in the same room with an angry squirrel. :p

No god loves us more then animals he loves them to but us more they were made for are comfort not as equals. Animals were put here for food ( cows ,deer, and so on and so on) and as comfort (dogs,cats horses and so on and so on) they were made for us and thats it you are wrong they arent even close to being are equals)we have souls and they dont thats the truth.Quote:

... if you even read half of the Old Testament, you could easily see that God literally had to walk us through the simplest of steps because we humans questioned and fooled around with so many things that we couldn't be trusted to ourselves! Though God would grace anything in His "appearance" (I wouldn't call it that, but that's a different topic altogether), the fact that He had to intervene in many of our situations showed how weak and pathetic we humans were. ...we were given intimate knowledge beforehand how things worked and what we needed to know, but our curiosity went beyond the safety "common sense" zones that we became even more idiotic than we started! ...I'd love to number the amount of religions and cults that predated Christianity, but the numbers that existed doesn't count. What counts is the overwhelming numbers that believed EVERYTHING has a soul.
We often discount the idea that even leaves and trees have a spirit, yet many spiritual and cult studies have generally believed in the fact that even those had souls.
Using inanimate objects within curses and sacrifices were not just because of their symbolism - it was also said they contained a spirit, a certain form of energy.
Depending which cult/religion/belief you look into, they have different names...
Those of old witchcraftwould have called these of a "elemental spirit" of some sort - or a season soul. Practitioners of Aikido and just general studiers of Ki, call this "Ki" or perhaps an earthen tanden. Druids have a different name for it. Hell, even Egyptian cults had names for the spirits of the desert.click to show spoiler
If hundreds if not thousands of religions and cults that have existed before Christianity believed that there were souls in everything, and if the Bible never mentioned SPECIFICALLY that these objects/animals contained no spirit or energy: Then I highly doubt that even in the Christian beliefs truly believe that.
What you're listening to, is a misinformed pastor/teacher. There are millions of them.
"Fact" is, the general belief of God making humans as the highest of beings is a joke. We may be more privileged with the mental and spiritual capacities that we have, but we were supposed to use those as guardians and cultivators of the earth. We've abused these skills and even claimed we were favored because of such.
...God cannot favor, the idea of that is blasphemous.
...heck, even the belief of God WANTING anything, or even perceiving that He told us to do this or that - is blasphemous. God isn't a being that exists within time, for 'being' would limit Him to a form, 'exists' would limit Him to a dimension, and 'time' would limit Him to His own creation.
What you have there, is a false god. A god created from your own perceptions, or perhaps a perception given unto you by semi-blind preachers.
Don't bring God into the discussion of the positive light of humans, for that does nothing but disgrace us even more than we are now.
