Re: The AO Presidential Poll
I dont necessary "hate" our current president, but I really dislike the administration as a whole. Though I really hate Dick Cheney that's for sure. <--- nope this is not an errant smiley
So let's see how it goes. Though it seems to me that most otakus are very ignorant of the outside world and current events, so I don't really see them going out to vote.

You know that's not true. :p they have done a lot to the middle class and the economy
Btw, I'm planning to write myself in. Currently, I am considering the following three running mates: LenMiyata (to counteract my inexperience), Sasurai (if I want female voters), or Shinku (an all-out ecchi ticket).
Re: The AO Presidential Poll
I would have to say McCain. Now he may not be the best choice like some of the other canadets who dropped out of the race but he is better then Obama... And no ABG Obama's plans are not realistic; in fact they are down right laughable. 75% of Americans don't even know how the Economy works or do they care to. Also many of his plans will dig us deeper in a hole because of all his programs he wants to do which there is no money for. Also many of is policies are crazily socialist if not border line communistic. People keep bitching and complaining about how they want Gov. to stay out of things and yet expect it to wipe their asses. If Obama becomes pres. which it is very likely be the case, we will see even more Gov. Control. Last time I checked ABG, you wanted less political and Gov. Control.
Re: The AO Presidential Poll
Well I am one of those people who skew polls by figuring it's none of anyone's business.
However, I am voting for a Senator who is in the opposing party this year because I like his stance on the economy and the guy running against him is an idiot. I always voted against him before but what can you do? Just remember, the economy is determined by the Congress. This year who you vote for as Representative and Senator is possibly far more important then the highly publicized presidential race.
Re: The AO Presidential Poll
^_^ i am also voting for McCain/Palin! mostly voting by party lines, but i've always been a supporter of McCain since like 2000 (i think) and, personally speaking, Sarah Palin is just plain cool! i'm also against abortion, so that helps!

LOL, the last election, I wrote myself in. I didn't even put my legal, birth-given name. Just "Sprout".

I'll agree to an extent. A good portions of Obama's plan is plausible/possible and realistic. But then you have his other plans that are going to cost us some money--good thing he's crackin' down on corporations too (they can pay for a vast sum of the cost). However, his plan for energy, a lot of people are laughing at him. I would like to see other energy/fuel sources, I'd like to see a break from oil independance. But that's gonna take more than two presidential terms to reach that goal. That's why there are others who would say his plans are laughable.
I feel like McCain, on the other hand, doesn't have a game plan. I watched one of the debates, and he was asked which of three problems he would fix first: Health care, the economy, or our "energy crisis". I heard him say in the most unassuring, uncertain voice, "I don't see why we can't do all three at once." He said it like he had this magic plan to make everything better, yet he provided no statement to back it up. No plan shared what-so-ever. For example, "I know we can end the war! I know we can put an end to terrorism! I know of a way!" I can say those same things, without going in to detail, and if I had that kind of power; you'd believe me.
I know there's a way we can find Jimmy Hoffa. What do you mean, "How?" I have the secret, I know what to do! I also have the cure for AIDS and cancer. Vote for atomik_sprout!!

I suppose if you don't go outdoors, there's no need to worry about who's runnin' the show on that side of the door. I don't go outside unless I have to these days. But I still keep up with current events. Ya never know when a bomb will drop, or when a mob of zombies kills someone in front of your living room window. I'd like to know the reason why it was dropped, then I can be somewhat ready for it, or at least come to terms with it like, "Maybe we had this coming."
