well not really. I've always been spoiled to the point of getting what I want but I still have a limit. In my opinion it helps cuz it makes you dominative. It just shows other people who's the boss.
If they really had a desire to live, they would've been more aware of how easy it is to die.

I believe you were going for SPOILED. And of course its wrong. If they think they can get whatever they want by doing nothing and no hard work to earn it. Don't you think they're going to grow up expecting handouts, living in your house until there 40. Its ridiculous to ask that question. And its not showing love and affection. You are ulimately being abused. And not even knowing it. There replacing things with morals, manners, affection, dicipline. Your not getting anything in return, but things that will eventually be garbage. Now where are the memories and the results of what should have been the replacement of these things that you recieve?

yea I agree with ur point of view....my dad would always spoil me for everything...I had always been daddy's girl..but when he passed away my mom didn't treat me the same which was like a shock to me...I'm doing better now...if I want something I need to work my ass off for it. In my opinion my mom does a better job raising me that my dad ever did. mymom rocks!!!

I agree with Nympho You get nothing if you are spoiled. You are just being lazy and get everything you ask for, without working for it. You won't survive for long in the real world like this ^_^

I think that you are overspoiled, man, you get whatever you want, what do you think will happen to you when your parents die, they wouldn't be there to give you whatever you want. You will have to work real hard to get whatever you want.

Darn it... system crashed and my posts deleted..*sigh*.

    Re-edit :
I think spoiling your kid is wrong. They won't get anything out of getting their way all the time. They would definitely find it more difficult to adapt to society, life and their future independantly. I think a child should get a good idea of being independant.
Spoiling a kid is by far a sign of affection. Children would not consider it to be... they certainly wouldn't respect their parents as a result. No authority and discipline rears disrespectful children... which is probably what has become of society now. *sigh*.
So in the end the parents or the child aren't getting anything out of this nurturing treatment.

Once again I am tired. Note to self re-edit.

    Re: Is being spoilt wrong?

I think being spoilt is wrong after a certain point. If you indulge yourself in goods because you worked hard and you earned it then that is good. But if you or parents buy things for their children because they child wants it, it allows the child to not truly appreciate what they have. Limiting choices provides a reality check to people. A child who doesn't have that doesn't learn that their are people who work hard and don't get as much. Its a good lesson in humility and compassion and when a child is spoiled, then that humily and compassion go away.
