    Re: the blind driving?

i think it will be passed. the reason is simple, no insurance agencie will insure a blind driver, the state is the only place that will insure a blind anything. and without insurance your car can't be on the road.

thanks to zyta for the sick sig and avy!

Its obvious it won't passed or will pass anytime soon. I don't know what state would actually try to consider something like that. I find it hard to believe that someone actually made a serious contribution to get that legislation moving.

The thought was so strange I went to the State website and couldn't find the ligislature concerning blind people driving. I checked the calendar and uncoming meetings that would occur in the next half year. I couldn't find anything about it. Is it just a rumor or is it the hottest debate topic in New York?

Perhaps you could try Illinois? I remember princess saying she was in Illinois somewhere around here ^^; I would but I'm about to step out for a bit - I can check later though if you don't have time

I agree though, I think there's more about this story that we haven't heard yet/ don't know about. What an odd law to pass now ^-^0

that sounds pretty interesting...and dangerous. I'm just wondering how they might go about doing that. They couldn't really do much because everything that happens on the roads is so unexpected.

I hope the blind won't be able to drive....It would cause so many accidents....I don't see how any one would pass a law to allow that.

    Re: the blind driving?

Nope couldn't find a single thing aobut blind driving. What I did find impressed me though.

"On Tuesday, Governor Rod R. Blagojevich signed a law that makes Illinois the first state to make preschool available for all three and four-year-olds. The budget for the fiscal year that began on July 1 includes an additional $45 million for Preschool For All, giving 10,000 more three- and four-year-olds a chance to attend preschool. Studies show that children who received high-quality early education are more likely to graduate, less likely to be arrested for a violent offense, and earn more as an adult."

Thats pretty damn impressive besides headstart I suppose and also; The worlds cleanest coal plant may be coming to Illinoise. This state has been bringing some pretty greats thigns to the table.

Besides that, I couldn't find a single thing about the thread topic
