I am very mean and bitter, you just caught me on a good day.

In all seriousness all further posts much be back on topic. Again I'll sum up my stance by saying scientifically speaking....fine by me. I'm not into it (perhaps because most of my relatives don't fit into my preferences) but if other's are, more power to them.

And while the exact causes of Microtia are not really known to at this time, there is little or no evidence that it is caused genetically.

Yup, some say that it's genetic, but I personaly think...as well as few doctors
that Microtia in my case was caused by accident that happened before I was born.
My mother fell few stairs down at last quater of pregnancy.

But what comes to breeding within family some direction about what genes child is
going to get can be checked by simple "breeding-table"

And it is very important to take genetic disorders into consideration when blood relatives get involved (actually when any two people get involved it doesn't hurt to look)

I'm sure we've all heard of the Romanovs and Alexei who had hemophilia. This arose because the mother carried hemophilia on one of her X chromosomes (but didn't have the disorder because it is recessive). Had she gotten with a male who also had hemophilia, then half of her female children and all of her male children would have hemophilia. As opposed to none of her female children and 1/2 of her male children as would be the case if her husband did not have the disorder.

You have been awake in biology lesson I see.
But it's always good to check background when planning to get
baby with someone. And thats why many states and nations have
seleceted 1st cousin as a limit of marriage, cos' when it comes inside that
"circle" genetic diseases that are in your family could become much more
frequent. Also change to have ganetic mutation could increase.

Actually as far as I'm aware of it's mainly a myth, but it's true that when in close family
those could be more common, cos' "bad genes" might multiply cos of closerelation

    Sleeping thing was for Veg...
But as far as I'm aware of same "start-genes" with cousin should be impossible.
And our baby would have only the Y-cromosome common with other family. But
thats how it is in every family. Y is trasfered from father to son...
