I had a belly button ring but it iritated so i took it out.
my cousin did it for me and he was sterile and everything. He peirced my ears and I am fine.
I say let someone you trust do it and if you are skeptical, get it done professionally.

yeah, theres no whay id get anything done unless it was from a pro. i got my ear peirced, and my mother wanted to do it. im like, hell no, so i went to town and did it. i just feel better if a "pro" does it.

although you dont kven know them personally...

the prob..w/ that is ur friend could get it infected or they can **** it up.... there r soooooooo many problems w/ letting a friend do it.... thats y i say no!!!

Well so far, my belly piercing seems to be going fine. No signs of infection, cleaning it with soap and water.

A litte itchy at times, nothing too big to complain about really.

So far its been about 9 days.

Is it still possible to get infected at this point?
the answers probably yes, but im not completly sure.

Besides how do you treat infection, in the even it got infected?
No one ever seems to talk about that in full.

I wouldn't let my friends touch my ears, lets not even talk abotu belly.
Firstly, it will probably hurt a lot more,
secondly, he/she couldn't probably have all the neccesary tools and disinfectants,
thirdly, he/she couldn't probably know enough about human anatomy not to pierce a place witch shouldn't be pierced.

I don't think it is a good idea, ears I might still understand, nose too maybe, but not belly, lips and tongue...*shakes head* wouldn't recomend... I really think it will hurt more because of the lack of tools. And a profestional can even give you some pain-killing injections... But of course a profesional might cost a lot. so it's every persons own decision. I would never do it...

Ummm... well I HAD to clean my ears with ummm... calendula tincture... it disinficates it very well. But I don't know if you can buy it anywhere else but Latvia but I think any perfume and some of the strong alchacols (Vodka) would do...

Umm, actually it didnt hurt at all.

Look, heres a explanation to let you know how much it really hurt:
pinch your belly button (the area to be pierced of course)
pinch it as hard as you can.
thats probably all the pain you'll feel getting it pierced.

not very much pain right?

I barely even felt the needle go through, and we used a very dulled needle.

And yes it was sterilized.

Did it bleed? no

it was pretty simple to do really.

I have the picturees of mine on my phone, but unfortunatey my phone is not working at the moment.

but as soon as its fixed i will still try to get the pics up. ^^

i rather get a pro to do it. unless your friend parent are in the body percing business and got the equipment, i wouldent trust them. The risk are that equipment are risky, disease from the equipment and unknown procducres to do the equipment

well... no for 2 reasons... i never want to get a bodypiercing... and why a friend???

i mean... consider all the health risks involved... the mere fact of having a body piercing... plus the fact that it won't be done by a professional... now that's two dangers rolled into one!
