Why do you say the egg came first Silver? When you have to have the chicken to hatch the egg and a chicken to lay the egg.

A chicken just doesn't appear from nowhere. Though it is obvious that this riddle is a trick question, it seems logical to me that for a chicken to hatch an egg, there must be a chicken created first. Thus, the egg. Came first.

Yes but what came first to make the egg if the chicken did not come first?

The egg is obviously a mutant, laid by a proto-chicken. This mutant egg then hatched into a true chicken, who's progeny became the chicken species...

A mutated chicken now that is new! Well where did this chicken come from?
