Cell Phones

Do you really think cell phones should be allowed in school?
it had an incident in a school in my area between students and they produced a pornographic clip at school in the class room in thier unifroms

so do u really think its wise for students to be allowed carry phones on them during school hours or should they give it to the teachers during the school day?

First off, I remember a time when cellphones were only for adults...
When kids started carrying them around, it was excusable... what with after-school clubs and sports.

When kids in elementary school started carrying them, it just got ridiculous.

Anyways, back on topic...


Some schools have already set up rules for cellphone-uses. If they have not, I would say it's free-game until then.
The fact of the matter isn't the cellphone, it would be how aware the school is to what it can be used as...

My old school got rid of cellphones when they realized that kids could text faster than they could talk, allowing them to cheat within a second in a test.

Should there be a cellphone rule? Well, I would say it's like taking away papers and pencils for this generation, but that's just crazy.
You can take away cellphones, but it's not gonna' stop anyone from A) Using them B) Finding another way to do something "unethical".

To take away one right just makes the "wrong-doers" more intelligent and figure out a more crafty way to do something...

Take my old school for instance... they took out a certain high-leveled-programming-class because it encouraged hacking. Sure, it got rid of 70% of the threat of hacking, but now the few who still hack have learned to go through every security code in the school and can change anything they want... the school constantly has to double the pay of their "tech support" to figure a way to block that from happening... but just like a virus, it'll keep changing.

So whatever the choice is, it still won't be the "safest"... especially since "jocks" are starting to become more friendly to "nerds".
What does that have to do with anything?
The popular crowds now have access to things that only the "smart-lonley-types" had during the early 90s... mixing the idea of "Irresponsibility" with "Power" and turning it into a more dangerous afterthought.


........okay, that's all I wanted to say. :P

I think that cell phones should be kept in lockers or cars. If a student needs to use it go outside. Sure there are a few stupid people with too much time on their hands that would produce a video of that nature and such but that could happen anywhere. I think that students should be checked for cell phones when they go into the classroom.

I think cell phones should be allowed in school just not allowed during class. My school has tried to prohibit them completely but it gets them no where. The students still continue to text each other and talk to each other. It didn't even make a dent.

I agree with that and I see the point that Soshi Kitai is tring to make but I think they should give teens a cell phone without a camra and the things that make it so easy to take pics up girls skirts......the only other problem is that its a destraction.....so yeha it hurts but sometimes it helps for a teen to have a cell phone because they can pick out things some parents dont pick out and call the police or something.....so I guess im inbetween the matter

I see how that could be a problem but I don't think that banning cell phones would stop them from sharing the clips.(on computers)
It is a trust thing and poeple acting like morons shouldn't mess it up for everybody!

yes i do think kids should be allowed to have cell phones in school but not be allowed to use them during class,because what if they need to contact a family member during school and the school wont let the kid use the phones that they have for the school ,and its not like they can do much about it kids are always gonna have them and use them during school becuase thats what kids do so the schools should just find a in between to the problem that way every won wins.

as for the camra phones the parents shouldent buy there kids them because as Namida Goddess said there are a few stupid ppl that would do stuff like that,its basically saying to them "here u go take pixs of what ever u want"

Iam in high school and I take my cell phone to school. But mine is turned off at school. So I can't get in trouble if they don't search me for cell phones. I don't care if people have them at school.
