The funny part about censorship is that they replace all the swears with words that are so close, you can't tell sometimes. "What the fun, man?!"

    1. Sex sells more than ever. if you see a sex scene and no one is watching (*grabs vasaline* XD) you will be 80% inclined to watch it.
    2. rappers make threats because beef makes money. its just propaganda. if people think he is the most ghetto ass ninja in the hood, then ppl will be like 'Damn, his music is telling the story of his LIFE'.
    3. I agree with you about freedom of speech. in canada recently, there was this neo-nazi that went around making rallies to deport more jewish peoples, despite the fact that he admits that the holocaust never happens. many more cases of anti-semitism pop up, and finally they kick him back to germany. i believe that as long as the things people say dont do moral harm (well to an EXTENT, not like [ dan- 'i hate ur opinion'...bill - FCUK THIS SIHT *punches*']) lol. people just have to watch their mouths, but we have to realise that there WILL be cases where the law and the government cannot hold a person back...

I watch South Park and I think the only word they bleep out now is the f-word. I saw the one about torets it was funny! Comedy central has secret stash at midnight & its uncensored. Censors aren't helping there alot of words that aren't bleeped. Most little kids know the words that r bleeped anyways. Nobody really cares. And most kids know about things you don't think they know.

I think that censors should only exist in a child-type situation. Political opinions are breakthroughs, etc should be left alone. People who complain about things not being censored enough in television and radio programs should shove it, and look into parental controls, and things such as that. If censorship was completely optional and could be edited/set easily, it would solve many problems. As for the mature content, it should not be censored at all, unless independently desired by the 'consumer'. This way, censors would seldom slip and mature viewers would be pleased.

I dunno. Mature content is great! ...If you're mature. But why do they make it so EASY for people to get away with saying things that really SHOULDN'T be heard by youth. I heard this song on the radio--I can't remember what it's called--but, I heard some dude sayin' "Beat that meat like barbecue," and I thought to myself, "You can get away with that?" Really! WTF?? I

Re: Are the censors slipping up or helping?

In these coming of ages freedom of speech is so over-rated... I say that for the simple fact when people have something to say it is either censored or twisted... It's too harsh for the viewer/listener eyes or ears...

Yea' I will admit sometimes what people say are just obscene & really is about nothing, but who's to say it isn't something to that speaker/person... In some cases if it is really about nothing why sit & listen/watch a bunch of nonsense...

If you are worried about your kids you can try & keep them from it or better yet explain to them why what the speaker/person is saying/doing is absurd, ridiculous, wrong, or whatever... It is better though if you had an understanding/knowledge of why the speaker/person said/did what they said or did...

Yes the censors are making parenting a little more difficult, but parents still needs to be parents & not let the media raise them...

You can do what others have said on here & not get a television or radio, but in my opinion I wouldn't take it that far... They might turn out like children of the corn type kids & lost all sense with the general society... Not saying you want them to be like the general society, but if so happen if they do go into reality of society that's like sending a lamb into the jungle... It is a good chance of survival, but the odds are stacked against them...

All I am saying is, if the media is bad use that to your advantage to teach your kids & self on how not to be & what not to say... Use that to teach some morals & life lessons...

The heart can't lie... Truth is... I love you!!!

Re: Are the censors slipping up or helping?

I agree with you, Inuruto. But that doesn't forgive the fact that the censors decide what we can & can't watch & then decide that its cool to let kids have easy access to mature content.
