i totally disapprove that ,i don't know how could parents drive their children into such trash thing they just give them more and more depression ,i agree to everyone's opinion above that says it's a wrong thing

If the girl wants to do it, I say let her.

Personally, I think it's very sick and wonder why such a competition was ever imagined. (Other than whoring little girls)

And it's usually the parent's who dress them up like dolls, but...

If it's the child's choice to make a doll out of herself, than she should be allowed to do it.

I personally don't have a problem with children's beauty pageants but they should not have to wear so much make up. They should be judged on their natural innocent beauty before they grow up and lose it.

sick, twisted, and very close 2 abuse!!!. childeren should be allowed to be childeren, and when a parent say's "oh she wants too!", since when can a 4 or 5 yr. old make decission 4 themselves!!!

Hell, parents could put their kids into things if they want. And I don't give a crap if they wear a whole bunch of make-up, flippers (fake teeth), they cry when they lose, or if they seem to be made up like little hookers. I enjoy watching them. It's actually fun to see who will win in a child beauty pageant.

I think some competition is good for kids but to the extent that these pagents go to ... nope I dont agree with it
I think it would be fine if they just wore everyday clothes and no makeup and simply based it on talent and brains
all kids are cute but to say one looks better than the others and thats why they won is a little messed up
you cant change how you look so these kids who lose will feel insecure for the rest of their lives
but if these competitions were based on talent and how smart or funny the kids were then at least if they lose they would know they just have to work harder to win next year
as for parading kids around in skimpy outfits infront of a bunch of strangers thats just asking for trouble children at that age should not be dressed in outfits that would be considered sexy on an adult .. its just sick

No offense but when is a beauty pageant about talent and brains. It's about beauty whether it's natural or artificial. Kids win because they are better looking than the rest. That's the whole point.

Yeah, but being beautiful doesn't always have to come from looking good. Having talent or personality can be seen as a sign of beauty. Even so they dont have to doll em up like hookers, god there just little kids. They should win on natural beauty.

.to me kids are butt ugly no matter there age and to even suggest a
pageant to display there *cuteness* is wrong treating kids like there pets
on a dog show is wrong . thats just how i see it

Heh. What pageants have you been watching. These are child beauty pageants. They don't say, "I'd like to solve world hunger." They walk, smile, bash their eyes, turn around, and stand up. It's only about looks. The judges say it isn't, but ask anyone, it is. No one is going to pick the little girl with missing teeth that can solve the cure for cancer against a beautiful little girl with a perfect smile and stance. That's how it goes. It's a beauty contest not eharmony so natural beauty only gets you so far.
