That isn't a parents job. Their job is to love their kids, provide them with food and shelter, and prepare them for the real world.

Well I didn't think it would apply to a white family. I have see others family use similar techniques. Its just a form of discipline. I know others may not like the idea but with the child's attitude here in Britain at the moment I feel they need something to help alter things. I am not saying hitting them is the answer but punishment is needed.

Children of today are the worst that human kind has ever seen before. In now days, they don't respect adults, they literally can get away with anything because parents cannot kick their butts because they might be put in jail on child abuse charges.

I don't know what its like in America but there is one social group in England called "Chavs" they are people who have the worst attitude, they are dumb, the people in classes that don't really do much but disrupt everyone else from learning, and they think they are the center of the world. Its this social group that everyone hates and everyone just can't get on with them. They are known for fighting for no reason but to appear tough and they don't even do much but torment the Elderly because they think its fun. Its people like that I can't stand. They have no respect for others and even putting them in Jail doesn't change them but makes more arrogant.

We call them wiggas (a mix of the word white and the "N" word, however this term is not offensive) here in America. Well, all they do is wear gold chains, dog's chain around their necks and also mock the African American culture. They go to public schools to waste tax payers money.

They wear gold over here too. They are really bad and one time when I as in the City with my friend, both of us wearing gothic Clothes, they shouted at us and my friend almost hit them. Its just horrible to see people with that kind of attitude because they think its funny to pick on other people. Really they only have respect for themselves and they don't really care much for friends. I don't mean to sound rude but I treat people with the same respect they show me. So I really have no respect for Chav's at all.

I think that kids these days are FAR different than kids of my time. Don't get me wrong, I've had video games in my life since I can remember. But, when I was a kid, we went outside and played, we had imaginary friends, we made forts and tree houses, we went to parks and rode bikes and skateboards, we played baseball in the streets, we threw rocks at squirrels and bee hives--WE WERE KIDS!!

Kids these days just come out the womb thinkin' they're grown or somethin'. If it's not a video game, it's not fun. If the music isn't talkin' about sex, drugs and money, it isn't music to them. They wanna hang out with the adults and I don't think that's good.

Today's kids believe that they DESERVE things when they haven't earned them. That's one of the main problems - why we have "wiggas" and "Chavs." Parents give their children money for EXISTING these days - I was lucky to get 50p after doing hard labour all day!

My mum always said, "We are a family. We work to make things easier for each other. You don't get paid for being part of this family." My chores were proof that I was a part of the family. (Huzzah, right?) I never got paid for breathing. I was quickly taught the value of money and good grades.

what age group of children? theres nothing in particular about kids that i think needs to be mentioned, expect for obesity in kids is getting high

Children do get things easy these days. I always find it unfair how much my younger brother has compared to when I was his age. Although he complained because we had things he didn't have but there is an age difference. I had to work to get money, he gets what £15 a month of allowance.

Well that's cuz your parents are older and probably have less energy to give him as much attention as with you in the past. Besides 15 might still not be a whole lot, gotta considering inflation

Hell back then I can get a gum with a tattoo for 5 cents, now I can't even hire someone overseas to make a shoe for me with 5 cents.

kids are growing up to fast well they think they are but i dont think so because i went to my brothers house the other day he has a 8 year old son and he thinks he is a really grown up adult and i go aww arent you cute your tall now and he says hey dont speak to me like that im a adult i was like what !?
