Re: Children of Today

Children of today... getting worse indeed...

When it was the good old days this is how kids was here... ^^

On the field were little boys running around playing soccer...Girls play "congkak" (traditional game) They never shout at their parents unless its for something small like food...they are scared of their dad... They play a lot outside....do rigorous and adventurous activities...running around, climbing trees...swim in the river...go in the bushes...hide and seek...*sighs*

Nowadays childrens...

Shout in vulgar words...watch porn even they are just 5- 6 years old...(i know one.. -.-)
never respect older people including parents and teachers... sit all day at home playing games..and become fat bastards making troubles for parents...smokes from the age of 7?
Does group moslesting by the age of 8? Lets guys touch all over a girl's body? WTF??!

I blame Media for most of this "damages" to the mind of kids... Cartoons from disneys? For kids??! Disney's original movies? THOSE are suppose to be ****ing rated PG13 -.- why U? Kissing scenes and all at first...and the kids will slowly think that kissing and stuff is ok..and they go further?... think smoking is cool and do drugs after that?

Peek parents watching porn... ~.~ Parents that "torture" their childs... Parents that don't give a ****....

Society that never cares...society that never helps.... society that is selfish....

*sighs*....

Re: Children of Today

well the media always plays a big part in today's society. With all the music that is around, all of the films that are out and with the amount of violence that can be found within games is what more then when I was child. I remember playing Theme Park on my old old old windows 95 computer. At least back then the graphics were simple and didn't really look real so kids didn't start to get too violent. You look at games like Painkiller, Unreal, Halo and any other games where the detail is so clear and real it starts to be imprinted in kids minds, who will accept anything they see.

Re: Children of Today

Yea... easily accessible porn... even a 4 year old can do it... the games as you've mentioned... parents just buy what their children wants.. not many parent's control or think of the consequences...

even cartoons like Tom and jerry can do an impact to a child's mind... something like brutality or..what we call it.. the scenes in there are too much... too.. violent.. yea.. thats the word...

I do hear some parent's control their children's entertainment... but i see mostly dont...

and society dont care much about childrens...they stick to their own bussiness... I mean...what'll you do if you saw a 10 year old purchasing a porn?

Re: Children of Today

well tom and Jerry is banned here in England. Because of those violent scenes although they weren't too bad, it was just influencing children's actions. A bit like the Simpson's cartoon Itchy and Scratchy. Even poor little Noddy was banned here to for being racist.

As for porn being accessible, I don't think it is in the UK, on the net maybe but then parents should really learn about controlling what is accessible. But I suppose some parents are just unable to really notice and have their minds occupied by other things. Personally, I think a child's safety should come first.

Tom and Jerry banned in England? No offense but england sucks. Dam and i thought it was bad here when they edited it.

Dam RayMe your country's parents are doing a worse job than ours. I mean we have problems with Teens, but watching porn at 5-6, and that molesting crap. Kids that age here aren't even interested in that crap. Its like gross man. lol

So they ban it for the everybody else because the parents arent doing their job?? Also I don't think it really influence kids that much. I grew up on Tom & Jerry and Loney Tunes, and i never did anything Violent. Didn't know anyone else that became violent from watching them. Heck prime time TV is way more violent.

I think its just Britain being too protective. I mean there was an incident with the game painkiller as a child had gotten hold of a knife and killed his friend after playing the game. I suppose it does show how lazy some parents can be about looking after their children but I agree it shouldn't mean that everyone else looses out on watching cartoons. As for buying games, children now have to have an adult with them when buying games so they know what the child is buying.

Yeah but it doesn't mean the games caused him to kill his friend. He was screwed up in the first place. If it wasn't games something else would have triggered this rage.

Re: Children of Today

True, there are a lot of games/entertainment out there that have really changed the way children grow up. Instead of playing outside they are all in the house playing with video games and the internet. I remember that all I used to do was go bike riding with my friends from early in the morning till it was dark outside. I think a lot can be learned from childhood, like patience and learning to lay back and relax instead of always being tense. Of course if kids want to be treated like adults sooner that can also teach them to be more mature.

Re: Children of Today

Each kid is just like everyone else, no difference. You cant judge a book by its cover, or even its pages. Every kid has their aspirations, goals, etc.... Of course, adults had the same problems when they were kids, or something similar. Even as everyone has their own path, you still cant judge by a majority factor, and can never truly know a person no matter how close you are to them. Thats why trust forms between two people.
Anyways, thats just my opinion.

Re: Children of Today

most of them don't know how to respect...no respect at all, mostly to their parents. what the hell happened?! and each generation is getting from bad to worst. and the worst thing is that it's inevitable.
