Dating: older man/younger woman VS. younger man/older woman - Page 3

i dont think that age is an issue if what you feel for each other is genuine. i mean if you look at some of the relationships in hollywood age doesnt seem to be an issue there. but by all means i wish you luck wth the relationship.

I have a question: it is said (I think mostly as a myth... but still...) that women mature faster than a man... so a woman dating a man 2, 3 and more years younger than him could find some "childish" attitudes on her mate... therefore that could bring a little if not a lot of argument into the relationship... so, in that case the age is not only a number anymore... or still is it?
I will state later on what I think about this thought (yup a little redundance) that just crossed my mind ^_^

That may be true for teen dating, maybe even into the early twenties. But from what I have seen In older adults the age difference wasn't effected by maturity, but by common interests. I have friends that he is younger than she is but they have so much in common that the age difference is immaterial and they have been married 9 years now. and I know another couple that are "dating" were he is A LOT older than she is(she 47-he 67), but they don't have very much in common and the relationship is on again off again.

well here is a thought to answer my question: if there is a real caring for the person then there is goign to be true acceptance and tolerance towards each other. And the maturity issue is not a "forever" thing... plus I believe that even the oldest man or woman has its own time of foolishness...

Very True. I have met people older than I am who don't have it all together, and I have met people who are younger(a lot) than I am who have it all together and handle things better than I do.

Ive gone out with much older girls than me and much younger.I am currently 22 and yeah i dont see a problem with it as long as you like each other age shouldnt really matter.
