i agree with this 100% i have met a few people like this and even helped in the local special Olympics in my town i don't see them any different for the fact they have the same feelings as everyone else ,some of them are
even better than the people who say they to slow or something, example
autism some of them can do numbers and such or even those that seem unable to do anything are more creative then the normal people.
my self i think normal is just a point of view because i don't consider my
self normal at all because that's to much like following a fad or something
so i stick out like sore thumb with my personalty and out look on things
being normal is just to stressful.
i mean look at normal people today they kill, rape ,steal ,cheat ,lie, hell
you name it the normal people do it i think we need to re- lable normal
because if that's normal then you can leave me out i want have anything to
do with normal then.
those with disbilty's are way better off i think because they dont have to
go through life stressing on crap. disabled? define that for me and i can
show 20 normal people that should be labled as that with how they act and treat others

I was really irritated that very gave me that 'oh-poor-you-darling' look. Seriously, if I had to stand if for life and not for three months, I would have gone bananas by then. They are just like us, perhaps slow in academics, without the ability to walk, but they think like us, behave like us. So what is with the pitying look that really irks 'disabe people' and their friends? They have feelings, they can process thoughts, abeit slightly slower for some. SO? I definitely didn't want to be treated like a princess when I was injured.
After all, there are things we can do that they can't, so it's only right that we help them do it.
