Thread: Do animals have a soul?

yes i think animals have souls everything does specialy kittens arent they just the cutest things you ever did see

I don't think they have soul..I don't know,at least the ones we eat..but animals like dogs..that's another philosophy!

When my 1st hamster died, my big sis said, "At least she's gone on to Heaven." My dad heard this and said animals didn't have souls, so they don't get to go to Heaven. I cried for hours, and I still don't believe him. How can such wisdom as some animals have not be considered human enough, or good enough to go to Heaven? Is it just as discriminating as humans are? I thought it was supposed to be a place of peace, but if there are only passed on humans there, to those who lived for their animal it would be so painful, almost like a sort of Hell. So I don't care what anyone says, all my hamsters are in Heaven. They were all innocent souls, w/o the chance to choose their lot in life. It shouldn't have to end w/ death. They should at least get the chance to come back as something a little better, or higher up on the food chain.

Only humans have a souls and only humans have the ability to choose between right and wrong.
Animals have instinct and a dog for instance will react to your action if u command he will obey or bite u if u hit him he duck away not to get hurt if u play with him he will play with u because pets get free food from us we tolerate the animal in the house or in the bedrooms or maybe even to watch over our belongings if we not there.
That is why we have Wild animals and household animals the one u can train and not be afraid of him being in your presence without a leash and the others like tigers can also be trained but they are in cages because of the nature they only behave when u have the upper hand but turn your back and it might be your last turn.

Ok then...Thats what you think...Now listen to me...Animals do have souls...Animals do know what is right from wrong if you teach them...For example: Your dog leaves a land mine on the floor...Would this be right or wrong?I am not sure about you but I am damn sure that my dog knows it is wrong because she does the potty dance if she needs to use the bathroom(Yah...We taught her the potty dance )And knowing right from wrong isn't limited to domestic animals...Wild animals know whats right from wrong to survive...Besides there is a reason wild animals are called/considered wild.They are not trained or in some cases not used or comfortable with human contact. So they try to protect them selves and attack hence them being considered wild.But thats just my two cents in the pot .
