Thread: Do we rely too much on technology?

o.k.... what about muffins...

Technology was created to simplifiy and enhance our lives, and it has, so if the technology goes away, we will just have to re-learn how to do things "the old way" humans are resiliant, we will find a way to adapt and survive, people survived before technology so its possible to go backward. The simplifications and ease of life won't be there.

caculating how much that cheese burger with fries would

People would raid the store and run like hell

i think we rely to much on technology. these days kids do not use critical thinking skills, they do not know how to use their other resources (books, dictionarys, almanacs and so on). they think they need to use the computer, their cell phones and whatever else they have to do the work for them. our minds are not getting challeged anymore. it is all about technology and advancing our society ( i dont think that is bad) but we could still use our brains and leave the technology alone for a little bit.

I believe that we are at the turing point, and thus are at a not very good position, thus I believe that we should take technology to the next level, more along the lines of ghost in the shell.

of course wo do, its our lifeline.
