rape tends to be a power & controll issue mostly w/ men. a rapist selects his victim by past experiences; i.e. controlling mother or lack of a mother complettely. the rapist will dominate his prey though physical violence or verbal threats, w/ these conditions in play it's ussually the only way the assaillant can achieve an errection.
it's the act of violence itself that's sexual to the rapist not the intercourse

I totally agree with you. It's like I said earlier; rapists usually have some kind of messed up experience in the past--usually involving a woman like a mom or something--and they take it out on thier victims. And 9 times out of 10 they get off on beating/raping thier victims. I read this book about a serial rapist/stalker/tourturist/killer named David Parker Ray, and he was all kinds of messed up. I can't remember too much about his mother issues, but I know that when he was young, he used to have sex with a hole in the ground. He grew older, started a devil worshiper's cult, and video taped himself tourturing poor young girls with all sorts of things--like tasers and such. Him and his girlfriend got off on that crap.

HELL NO! i mean sure sometimes we women don't make the smartest choices for clothing or the way we act. but in no way shape or form make men rapist! they are the ones that get that desire and it doesn't matter what women they take as long as it is a women they will try to do anything. i can't belive anyone would say that we do make that happen becuase that person needs a freakin reality check NOW!

*sarcasm* Because OBVIOUSLY, the woman's choice of clothes don't have the capability to give men desires.
-_- Even if not on purpose, the way women are and what they wear is still a factor in how men become rapists.
It is also the man's fault, however it is debatable how much of a fault it is (kinda like how fast food restaurants make people fat... I tend to agree that it's the person's fault, not the restaurant's), the woman's clothing and actions do HELP in making a man a rapist.

I wouldn't say it's all the woman's fault though... most guys are just losers or are completely idiotic to choose rape.... ...without the consent of the woman being raped. Haha, couple joke.

yea well i agree with what you said but still if some women wear that kinda of clothing it doesn't mean she is sending out an invition. i think both men and women just do stupid stuff and it just leads down a bad path. but we can't tell people what not to do or what to wear. so rape is just wrong anyway u put it. doesn't matter what happened rape is rape.

Sometimes (or most times) it's an invitation to look (some women loved being eyeballed) or to attract a mate. So at times, it can be sexual. The rape is the backfire.
... and only at few situations do the women actually want to get raped (a sort of fetish).

Man, I keep stressing this point. Most of the time, a womans clothes have very little to do with it. Yes, a lot of women are starting to dress whorish, but don't let that simple little detail be a big enough excuse for an action so harsh as rape!

I see a woman in skimpy/revealing clothing, I stare--nothing more, nothing less. You don't see me runnin' around humpin' legs and stealing ******!!

It's more of a mental matter than it is anything else. I mean there are men who get raped by men--OUTSIDE OF PRISION!!! Hell, I've heard of women raping MEN!! The only reason a woman rapist can get away with rape is because even if a man says no, his erection says otherwise to the courts.
But I digress from my point....

I have very little belief in the whole "revealing clothing makes men rapists" thing. That's like saying that if I run around in just my underwear that some woman's gonna try to rape me. That's like saying wipe your ass before you go number 2!

Wrong, they get away with it because men would be even more embarrassed than women to report it. "Yeah man did you hear i was overpowered by a woman and on top of that she raped me". A man will never say that, he will claim it was consensual. I know i would never admit a women got the best of me in that way.

We can't put aside the fact that women dress and act the way they do, that's like putting aside wheels when making a car.
Sure, you can make a car fly without wheels, but the fact is, these cars have wheels.

"Very little" is too polite, the women-culture's change has affected a lot of the men-culture!
Just the same as our culture affects there's!

Women don't go for us in our underwear... they go for several different features, but the crotch-area is the last place (how would they know unless they're still in highschool?) they'd go for.

Women rape men for their own reasons, but it has nothing to do with what we wear... besides, in a woman's mind, they would want the MAN to TAKE THEM. Be a traditional woman for a day and realize how their sexual drive plays in their head.

Just because you aren't affected by women's clothes, doesn't mean you're part of the populace of men who rape and don't rape! Don't speak for all men unless you've felt what they've felt.

No, but apparently, some of us are blind to the situations around us that affect it.
Keep blaming the men if you want, you'll never realize the truth of "responsibility for all" because of it. Women have as much to do with it as men do. No matter what the situation. We all hold the same responsibility.

In a word, no. Rape is often an issue of domination, which is why rape is classified as a violent crime and not a sexual one. It often occurs because of a person's own insecurities about their own position in life, be it in a job, at home, etc. Often the victim of a rape looks similar to the person that the perpatraitor is feeling insecure about. Women aren't the only ones who are victims of rape, jus' as men aren't the only perpatraitors. There are even reported cases of men raping men, and women raping women. So it's not true that women make men rape, it's about the insecurities of the rapist.
