Re: The Ethics of Lolicon and Shotacon.
Because one enjoys a fantasy doesn't mean one wants it happening in real life... Like how not all men who enjoy anime porn with women being raped in highschools condone actual rape.
I see women's (and men's, :laughs:) rights and freedoms as something to be protected... Heck, I see all human beings' rights, feelings, and freedoms as something to be protected. But, I support hentai with women (and men, :laughs:) being raped, as I don't hold any support for upholding the rights, liberties, and humanities of animated, hand-drawn, fictional beings. Can this same logic, so often applied to S&M and/or tentacle rape hentai not be applied to lolicon and shotacon?
So much repetitiveness in this thread... I almost regret starting it. :smirks a little bitterly:
Re: The Ethics of Lolicon and Shotacon.
This really is turning into the same thing over and over again basically new people comming in arguing their point and leaving because they refuse to accept both P.O.V.s
Acceptance is the key here. I don't necessarily approve of any of these things for myself because I may or may not feel that I "know better." However what I deem wrong in my own books is a person feeling that they should be allowed to play God and say that someone else is wrong just because they don't see things my way...
Why is it wrong? Ask yourself why there has been any struggle in the history of mankind, there you will find the answer. This disregard for people's rights and values to be themselves has claimed more innocent lives then those tallied up in rape victims.

Hhm, normally i'd agree, for i usually dont care what people do, as long as it deosnt hurt people (or promote the hurting of people), in any event, he was asking for the ethics of it in the first place, and since it was such a controversial subject to begin with, it should be excpected that the outcime would be like this. and also, im not so sure that just saying that what someone thinks is morally wrong to them is playing god, since its nothing more then following your morals, imo, at least, not that it counts for much, well, i'd best leave it at that, seeing as how im not so sure this is the best place to discuss deep issues involving ethics and morals, well, ttfn.
Re: The Ethics of Lolicon and Shotacon.
as far as i see it, its only wrong to force a real child to do something like that. time was, like someone said before, a woman was married at like 13 so im sure in reality the concept alone isnt going to traumaize a young person. in fact i someone i know complained to me once about 12 year old girls bragging about how good sex w/ their bf was. they do that kind of stuff on their own if they think theyre ready for it. but anime and hentai stuff doesnt involve any actual people so no one actually gets hurt. i kinda like some loli stuff but it at least should be tasteful ya know? and im sure at least some child porn out there (by all means not all) is made by children themselves, and i dont feel displaying onesself is in and of itsself wrong. and if someone doesnt want to see something just dont look. YOU are responsible for what you look at. no one is forcing you. some people have this idea that no one else should ever get to enjoy something that these people dont like. just dont look at it. and dont go looking for it to take it away from people because i know you would rather infuriated by someone taking your cheerios or whatever away just because they dont like em.
