I know that i would only let it happen if all the other possiblities have been tried and not helped the person get better. For i would really use is the last, last, last resort. because it is concidered an act or murder. But if all the other choises have been explored and there was no other way then i would concider it.

![]() ![]() Credits: 4,668 | Re: Euthanasia I knew i posted in a euthanasia thread! Well here is what i put... There are lots of points to why a person should want Euthanasia to be legal and also many arguments against it too. First of all they may think it shameful to let their family and friends watch them die slowly and painfully, but on the other hand they should want their last few precious moments on the earth to be special and to be able to enjoy them. In my opinion assissted suicide shouldn't be made legal because if life is a gift, somthing that we can't control, death should be treated similary too.

![]() ![]() Credits: 225 | Re: Euthanasia I am not worried about it so much because say for instance u pull the plug on someone in a coma and their was a chance of him Awakening then how do u explain that. I personally won't do it even if they are suffering i would try and help them and if they die afterwards then at least u can say to yourself u tried to help them. Most of the time because of Hospital fees and stuff like that ppl make decision like this and that is not right everybody has the right to live and even if the are in a coma for 2- ? time they might get out of it u never know. Be positive. ![]() |

![]() ![]() Credits: 5,730 | Re: Euthanasia i think its pretty cut and dry myself pull the plug if you want to die. don't mean to be insensitve but if they feel there in so much pain they need to die or fade away wich every word you feel more comfterble with. you should do it without hesitating. think about it ,friend 's will do anything for friends. i have heard a saying that goes " i would do it for you if you were in my place" thats true friendship not letting your freind .suffer |

| Newbie | Re: Euthanasia Im not afraid in admiting that im afraid. Im scared sh*tless when it comes to considering whats beyond when our time is up. I dont belong to any particular belief, i have a feeling somethings out there, but then thats just a feeling... If it were me, im not so sure id have the courage, what if i were sending someone to oblivion? Truly believing in an afterlife is something wonderful and i envy all those who have the faith..but...how can you be sure your not sentencing them? I Guess after a while of thinking it over, if they were truly in pain i would kill them, because thats what we're talking about, killing someone, but im not so sure i could readily... (im not implying that anyone could do this readily and im sorry if i depressed anyone, but its a scary topic..)

| Newbie | Re: Euthanasia if the patient himself consciously decides that he wants to die, why is that so wrong? i can understand the problem if the person is in a coma and unable to speak for himself but if the person is fully aware of the situation and wishes to end things, isn't that really just suicide? and in a way, if someone is begging you to help end their misery, by refusing (refusing to take an active part in it) aren't you're merely taking the passive role of condemning them to their suffering? most people would agree that there are some things in life that are worse than death and, to some people, unbearable suffering for the remainder of your life might be considered worse than death. if that is the case, would it really be so wrong to help relieve them from their suffering? |
