hey all gamers out there, there is a new review on weither or not games are good for us. well, i believe that it is good and bad. though, they are fun, they can be very addictive. making it hard for us to get outside and grabbed some exercise so that we can stay healthy. but it also gives us hand and eye cordination, makes us faster to react to somthing. tell me what you think about games and tell wether there good or bad.

I think games are good, they help relieve stress, and they can motivate people. Like some parents will have their kids do their homework and then as a reward let them play video games.
As far as the exercise aspect, over the last year or so they tried to improve that. Like with the Wii, or some of the video games like DDR if you have the dance platform, you can get a good work out.
I believe they are good, which is funny because I don't even have time to play video games anymore.

Honestly not trying to contradict you at all, Zev, but for some people it can be exactly and utterly the opposite. (Though in all honestly I still think they're good).
Some of the "intense" gamers, and not excluding myself, get angered and frustrated when they do bad. To horrible extents of yelling, swearing, breaking controllers etc.
Also, it's not entirely a good influence if the people play online due to all the..."bad influences." People seriously swear their heads off, talk about obscene topics like drugs and sex sometimes...it's so deplorable. Thankfully more games are implementing a muting system for mics so that's good...
Though I'll agree on the incentive part, it doesn't apply to some. Some will play regardless, I guess where you've been coming from in your post is mostly to a younger audience perhaps?
...And I'd rather not comment on fitness. All I will say is that I can still stay active with excessive hours of online and offline every day. That's just me.
But overall, I love them. They give us thoughts and things that we may never experience for the obvious reasons...which is good. Some people will enjoy it no matter what, and some people will delve into the mysteries of it thoroughly. It's interesting, to say the least.

Gaming is good. It allows you to experience situations and things that you can really control that you wouldn't experience in real life. I think it expands the imagination. Its been great to me. Gamer 4 ever

Anything in moderation is okay, and addiction on the other hand is always bad.
I am a bit biased since I have been a gamer for my whole life, but overall, I think gaming is a good thing. For me it has been a way to escape when I need to, and it gives me something new to experience. I can play the perspective of someone who is completely unlike me and take something useful from it.
It can go too far though, to the point of being harmful, if addiction occurs. Playing all day is unhealthy and people should make sure to have some type of social life, no matter how small. Video games cannot replace human interaction.

I have been a gamer for a long time and it has its good and bad moments. It does increase hand eye cordination, expecialy fast pace FPS games, and RTS games make you think on the best stratagy where you need to think fast under pressure. Not to mention they are fun, relaxing, and a nice escape.
Unfortunaly people can some times be obsessive and they never want to stop. Also the whole enjoyment and relaxing aspect of games can be turned into frustation and aggression and tantroms of sorts, which are called nurd rages. Most of the time I have noticed most of the aggression comes from playing online against other people in compedative play in that some people care more about winning then enjoying the game and will do anything to win by hook or crook, going so far to play in an unsportsmen like conduct and some time flat out cheeting, abusing glitches or using hacks which ruins the game for every one else. Also deeling with jerks who jump on to simply insult and rial people up for amusment then playing the actual game.
Fortunetly most of my games are with people who I meet online and enjoy playing with do to the fact that many were very layed back. Finding a group of people who play for fun is the best way to play. When AvP2 was still up and running, many people were very friendly and didn't mind me kicking their butts all over the place as I was the top Alien player. (My record still stands to this day.) Instead of pitching a fit, they asked for tips to play as Alien which was my best race, and I was more then happy to show them a few tricks. People shaired their experties with out acting all snobish. That was until people from Counter Strike came over and ruined it. Seeing that they couldnt compet fairly with every one else and more concerned about winning they diliberatly went to look for glitches and the most cheepest weapons and tactics. There have been people who had done this before, which was fround upon greatly by the AvP2 community. But it eventually got out of hand, they wanted to make it CS in space then AvP2. Many of the origenel people left because of it.
"MY DEAR... I GIVE YOU THE CAPELLAN CONFEDERATION"AND THUS THE WAR WAS STARTED NOT BY GUN SHOT BUT BY WEDDING BELLS
i say they are good for our mentallity and our imagination. but it is all bad cuz of the addiction that we develope further in the game. it makes use lazy and our body pays the toll becoming a couch potatoe well alterz what i think but i still love games no matter what..
I've lost everything I once held dear to me all i have felt is hope and with it I''ll push myself forward and follow the even ending stream of life.....
