Could you please show me how you know that 'violence and terror all around the world' is growing? In trying to find out myself, I've only found evidence to the contrary. To me, it wouldn't make sense for crime rates to go up globally, rather than go down (mainly because better technology scares the people that would commit crimes into not doing them).
There seems to be this general consensus that human morals are going downhill, and that we're going to be killing each other in a couple of decades . . . but how would you compare our morals to those of the people in the French Revolution (and there are tons of other examples)? We're much more obsessed with good morality these days to believe that we're on the verge of ripping society apart.
