If thoughts cant be helped, then is it still a sin?

First off all, care to take the smart aleckness out of your tone? This is a simple debate, no need to get hot headed.

Second of all, you did not answer my question, did you choose to be straight or was it just natural? I'm sorry that your mind has been persuaded by modern culture and you see homosexuality as this lepracy-esque thing, but that is not the only window f you would actually take the time to look for other windows. Just go ask any homosexual person whther or not they chose to be gay, odds are they will say that they didn't and they just feel NATURALLY attracted to the same sex just as you feel naturally attracted to the opposite sex.

You did not choose to be bi, you had to have had those inane feelings for both sexes already existing in your chemical makeup for you to REALISE, not choose, that you are bi. Your friend isn't gay, your friend thought he was gay and then realized that he is attracted to females rather than males, once again, he REALIZED, he did not choose.

Scientists have proven that in homosexual people they generally have a hormonal imblanace, having too much of the hormone of the sex that isn't theirs, in their bodies. That imbalance can lead to them being attracted to any sex.

is it a sin or not is not for us to answer....all we can do if the person is a friend is try to help them and give them our support. Who r we to judge others....let a higher power judge bcz anywayzz u will be judged for ur acts too....and unto God there is no "big or small sin"

THINKING about, or having feelings for someone of the same sex isn't a sin.
Getting intimate - having sex is the sin. Acting upon your thoughts is the sin. Thinking is not.

Why is acting on it, a sin, especially if it feels right?

And im kinda confused by wat it means by "its not a sin to have the feelings about the same sex but it is a sin to act on em."

I mean youd be lying to yourself to not act on it, so youd commit an intentional sin rather than an unintentional sin, right?

Well, thats kinda not what i meant, i mean aside from what the bible says, i mean like from a scieintists point of view or any view untouched by religion. But thank you anyway! ^^

What do you mean, "from a scientist's point of view"? Homosexuality can or cannot be a sin if we are speaking in mortal terms. That all depends on the individual themself. However, it is a sin in the eyes of God. Not in the eyes of scientists.
