I appriciate everyone's comments regarding this sensitive issue. Its not been easy for me to come to terms with it. Maybe I'll make some other kind of post somewhere after I talk to him about this.

Here is a new question along the same lines: Do you think that I should talk to him about it (the letter he wrote me, not homosexuality being a sin)?

I have been thinking about the homo being a sin, is it really right to say about them? in terms of use or what? I think its a little loving at first, I have a cousin who is a homo and he is proud to be who he really is, I think that this is not a sin, its kind a right about love, but I don't know about it being a sin.

That's what the world says to justify the sin: it is ok if the person is happy. This world is so human centered.. of course it will be focus on just human "happiness" even if this brakes the rules.
Tell me since when it is normal to like the same sex? since when it is normal to have sexual relations with the same sex? Since never!!! the society has accepeted sin so easily that now it is ok... and it is ok to teach kids that... NO it is not ok!
Love is pure.... how can you call that a "pure love"
I don't judge homosexuals but I don't agree with their ideals nor the ideals that the world is having towards their ideals and accepting them! It is not morally correct, it is not religiously correct it is by any means correct.

I accept and I am even friend of the homosexual person (one of my best friends is homosexual). However by any means I'd accept the homosexual ideals.

I have to agree with what divine_punishment said.. It is not a sin to be attracted to the person because there is an extent that everyone has it.. But ut the action taken is a sin. (well in Catholisim)

Homosexuality has been going on for thousands of years, long before Christianity ever existed. They accepted it quite willingly because not only was sex itself considered the cornerstone of life, but being homosexual actually meant you were special. It meant power really. What we enjoy calling sins today have been considered normal for a very long time, but only until a certain religion dominated Europe, did we start to ban homosexuality and consider it truly taboo.

Like you said, this world is human centered and what brings us happiness is what counts. You don't change the details of a religion because god has sent word to you, you change it because someone wants it to be changed. A man of flesh and blood and they do what they want because it makes them happy. Happiness and breaking the rules. LMFAO for that one.

Blaming the world and it's ideals. That is awsome. Then I guess jesus is gonna come back real soon by your counts, because it shouldn't be too long before this world turns into that Sadum gamora(bad spelling) place?

"Since Never"? lol! Pick up up a text book there chap and check some of those facts. Ever hear of the Greeks? Romans? Europeans through their whole incest relationships. Way to go there. This world hasn't suddenly become tolerant of rule breaking, we have been doing it since life began.

You mean the two cities of Sodom (from which we get the word sodomy) and Gomorrah. According to tradition, they were destroyed because there were not even five good people . . . it wasn't that they were sexually active with everybody (and everything) . . . they were a bunch of immoral wankers who'd rape and kill their own mother, but not always in that order . . . not that I think Lot (one of the survivors) was a good man . . . Grr. Anyway, there are more than five good people in the world today, so I wouldn't worry too much.

I hope this wasn't intended for me because I honestly know that myself. I responded to the "whole world" breaking the rules bit discussed in the post before, so when you quoted me I was actually referring to what you just said.

Bah, just for those who actually responded to my post as that. I am sure someone thought of it. Oh yeah that whole story, wasn't it the man and also his wife or something? Perhaps one of his daughters as well? Who was it that turned back to see the city and was made into salt or what not?
