dude imagine if clones were created to do our jobs, the economy will boom!! The national debt will be paid in less time. Thoug, that would be a bad thing, what if they (clones) declare war on their creators, that would freaking bad!.

I don't think that cloning is a good idea. Creating people in a lab to go fight for us? Let's not get all universal soldier. I see where your coming from, I am one of those guys getting blown up in a hmmwv(High mobillity multi-wheeled vehical) but I still don't think putting genetic soldiers in the same situation would be smart. Slavery ended a long time ago. And though cloning entire humans for medical purposes like mentioned sounds nice, it's not practical. So someone dies from a disease. The family is supposed to accept another copy of him/her and just move on? Will it even be the same person without any life experience? We can clone memories?

looking at it from a bigger scale, would you rather your entire nation be put into slavery which consists of millions of people becuase your nation was conquered, or thousands of people killed in war? Or just a few hundred cloned super soldiers that could end a war quickly and precisely, or even keep a war from happening. It sounds like a good trade off to me. Also you don't need to clone an entire human in order to save someons life, we can use undeveloped cells called "stem cells" to develop a specific part of the body (i.e. organ) to be used. And I agree about the last part, clones shouldn't be used just to fill an empty space in someones family, people need to experience death becuase it's part of a natural life.

I see how you see it. But you have to understand. If we get the technology so will other countries. Though you may think we can get a jump on it being in the millitary teaches you there are no secrets. Though there are some things that are meant to be kept secret we are all human. Someone always slips and other governments are going to know about in. I know about the stem cells too. But someone said something about cloning entire humans.

And what makes you think we need super soldiers to win a war. We are quite capable to defend ourselves. You need to have faith in your army. We have plenty of technology as is that helps save peoples lives.

In short I understand your sentiment and appreciate it as well. But there are some levels we should not go to. I think this is one of them.

I respect your decision and I also understand were you're coming from. At first America was the only nation with the atom bomb (if my memory serves me right...) which gave us the advantage, but soon other countries developed the technology and started manufacturing them. So the same thing could happen with creating super soldiers . Also I am not saying our military is incompitent, I'm merely saying that by creating more advanced soldiers through genetic engineering and cloning so comes the possiblity of drastically reducing the casualties in war, and also reducing the occurances of war all together if America and it's allied forces were the only ones to harbor the technology.
