Of course not. I don't care for his character.

Nor would I have voted for King. The man may have been a great orator but other then that I see nothing to recommend him. It annoys me that he is given the martyr treatment when the true greats go unrecognized, greats such as Medgar Evers, because they don't have a foundation to make sure they get good publicity. The real question is if King had not been martyred would he be any different these days then Jesse Jackson and would the government continue to seal his FBI records for fear of damage to the civil rights movement or would whatever is in there just be one more scandal like all of Jacksons? Oh well, eventually the truth will out one way or another. It just may have to wait until anyone who was involved is dead.

OK now Jesse Jackson would be a dumb vote. Jesse is a smart man, but not smart enough to run a country. Not to mention I sense a little racism towards whites from him. And I'm black myself lol. Jesse Jackson is like black peoples version of Dr. Phil. We all like him and to talk about him, yet we will never vote him into office.

I have never heard about someone called Edger Mevans. Who is/was that?

Oh! So bad in such a serious subject but I transposed his name. It's Medgar Evers.

MWP: Medgar Evers (1925-1963)

Martin Luther King did not have any hatred in his heart what so ever, hence his "I have a Dream" speech. He wanted equality, not to pay the White people back with an equal amount of oppression.

Though, I still stand by my statement about not voting for him. MLK was non-confrontational. He--like Ghandi--was non-violent. You cannot be a president in a war time situation and be non-confrontational. "They just dropped a nuclear missile! What should we do, Mr. President?" "Why don't we just turn the other cheek and show them some love, like the bible says to do?"

Nope... That's how presidents lose jobs. That's how countries fall. >_<

Now, if Malcom X were alive and ran for president; I would DEFINITELY vote for him. "By any means necessary!" That line of his can be applied on so many different levels. That man wanted rights, freedom and did not have a problem with fighting--not marching--for what he believed in. X would've proved to be a better candidate, considering that he had some fight in him.
