I for one know that it is a strong racial situation going on down there in Louisiana... I am glad that someone else recognized the injustice that is going on in this case... Racism is still a huge deal in society today & can play a role in some cases when it comes to the law, prosecution, consequences, judgment, etc... It is a thin line between white & black that steps into the shades of gray... It is up the individual to have a blind eye when it comes to color & justice...

I have more to say, but I want to put it out there for the ones who don't know what's going on...

Well, i have seen it on the news a couple of times. What i understand is that one of the black guys that beat the crap out of the white dude is being prosecuted as an adult rather then as a juvenile. This pissed off a bunch people, so now they are calling people out to protest in favor of the dude that is currently in jail. The Rev dude and some other dudes are saying that the court is being racists because the court is prosecuting the black guy as an adult and they haven't done anything to the white dudes that started everything.

These guys don't deserve to be charged with this harsh of a crime, but what makes me mad is i don't see anyone saying it was wrong to beat up the white student. I don't care what this white kid did, nothing justifys that. Also would anyone care about this if they were all black or all white. We all know that answer.

It's at times like these that I think of what my mom used ta tell me, "Two wrongs doesn' make a right." What that kid did was wrong, but he didn' deserve gettin' beaten up like that. However ta charge the other kids so harshly is beyond wrong. I used ta get inta fights in high school over lotsa things and I never charged anyone wit assault or attempted manslaughter, nor was I charged. That's way too extreme a punishment. And what 'bout the instigators of the whole situation? I can' understand how any1 would think that hangin' a noose from a tree is a "Prank." It seems like a clear statement ta me, I thought we were passed the Civil Rights movement of the 50's and have become a better civilization for it. Yet it seems that there's still work ta do. Yes, they shouldn' have done ta that white kid, if he was ignorant; then let him remain ignorant. By walkin' away, the black kids would have proven that they were above that sort of thing, but ta punish them in sucha manner 'cause they didn' is takin' what they did and not only runnin' in the opposite direction; but goin' ta extremes wit it. It's down right atrocious ta do this ta these young men. I can understand if they were suspended, but ta do this...

Sanity doesn't exist, it's just an excuse cooked up by crazy people to justify their actions. My myspace page: www.myspace.com/joemage

From what I heard the kid who was beat up had nothing to do with the nooses. And they beat him up anyways. I don't think they even released a statement regarding the kid and the three kids who did it. Personally I don't think ganging up on the kid was fair either. And what about him? Sure what happened with the tree was rascist. But what about the kid who got beat up by 6 African-Americans, what does he get?

He gets a suspension while the blacks get 22 years in prison. I heard they dropped the case but the one boy is still in prison facing charges for 15-40 years in prison. The white boy got what he deserved. If it was me, i would have beat his ass more than what the blackkids did., That was racist and how can you even THINK of what the white boy did and how he is doing? And you are right, the kid they beat up had a gun to the three kids and they wrestled it away. THEN beat his ass! WHOO!

Though I'm not denying that the bashing was wrong in the first place, the things that lead up to it and how they were treated afterwoods - there is clearly something wrong.

I'm disgusted that this kind of stuff happens today, I'm even more disgusted that this is happening at a High School. I guess i was just lucky to go to a High School, every one got along so well in my school, That it shocks me even more that it's happening at another school.

No actually, it disgusts me (but doesn't surprise me) that the younger generation are doing these things, that they are going to grow up like that and that prehaps that their children will learn the same things.

I hope everyone gets the justice they deserve in this case no matter what race they are.
