Pyrokinesis Hydrokinesis Aerokinesis Cryokinesis Geokinesis Chronokinesis and Electrokinesis are all linked to Telekinesis one way or another. Anyone who can do an elemental can do telekinesis, and mostly any1 can do telekiensis

| Diamond in the Rough | Re: Kinesis The bold is the stuff I wrote. Well first, I love all this stuff. Okay, now. I know telekinesis is 'real'. Yes, all people can potentially wield telekinetic powers with a bit of practice. The "Ten Percent Theory". I don't know if this is the same thing, but I have heard something similar. It is that most humans only make use of their conscious mind, not brain, but mind. This represents ten percent of a total one hundred percent which consists of the concious mind, the sub-conscious mind, and the super-conscious mind. If this is indeed what the Ten Percent theory was originally referring to, then yes, most people only use ten percent of their minds, BUT, there is no limit preventing them from uing the other ninety percent. Kinesis is possibly now, but I do believe with a bit of evolution, it would be more easily accessible to the average person. Same goes for telepathy and precognition. Precognition is actually something I experience fairly frequently, most notably when a dream of mine told me what one of the track member's last name was. "you need to get your facts straight, humans can only use 4% of their mind at a time. 10% of the total brain is used throughout our lifetime, and the 40% of that 10% that we use changes every decade or so." I've never heard that, so it's still questionable to me. However, I have no research info proving otherwise, so I can't actually object. "btw did anyone ever try to do telekinesis?" Yes, when I was little...er. But, I've since lost the ability due to mind clutter and such. "the mental stress of kenetical powers can kill you if you go beyond you own limits. " There shouldn't be any stress, so no. Indirectly maybe it can kill you if you concentrate for so long that your body dies of starvation, but not otherwise. "Heres an easy way for telekinesis. Take a sheet of paper, and fold the corner and make a square, you no what im talking about. Cut the excess paper off and fold the corner of that paper to make a smaller square, and cut the excess of. Now take a push pin and take the paper and balance it on the push pin. Make sure the windows and such are closed, and hold your breath. While holding your breath visualize the paper spinning in the direction of choice. Feel the paper as if it was a limb and spin it. Tilt your head in the direction you want. The lack of oxygen causes your brain to work at triple capacity. After a certain point, it will spin." Never heard that, but it's very questionable. InnerHell, your post about Gantz and the impact of telekinesis. The only penalty of performing telekinesis would be mental exhaustion. I don't believe that you can actually physically hurt yourself. "the use of that much energy, that required to add H2O to an object at the molecular level, would kill any single human who tryed it." No. They just wouldn't succeed, and instead, their efforts would heighten their concentration limit. "It wouldnt kill anyone to just add an molecule to a chemical substance. It would drain you but it wouldnt kill you. When you use that much energy you get what you call a grey out. All vision becomes grey and staticy, you hear in slow motion and you get a headache. " That;s what happens. In very deep concentration, like that needed to perform fantastic telekinetic feats, your senses begin to dull. I don't remember the order, but I know that eventually almost all your senses 'turn off' and all that you are aware of is your energy and your intention, which would be to move whatever you are trying to move, and that all you are able to see (with your eyes, not in your mind) is what you are trying to interact with. "the single person cant do something that would kill you, your brain has a limit which can not be broken, only raised." That is very very true. "but conciously breaking that limit CAN kill you. it's just like exersizing to the point that you can die of exhaustion." Please explain that to me. This is based just on stuff that I've experienced or have been told by people who have experienced the above first hand. People being my brother, mostly.

![]() ![]() Credits: 12,065 | Re: Kinesis I find it to be an interesting subject, but the whole concept of psychokinesis seems too far-fetched to be realistic to me. At least in the parameters of human creativity. I don't care how much we evolve, I don't think we'll ever see a day where a person like Storm from X-men is flying around manipulating the environment to water her garden. The most I can see coming out of the full mental capacity of the human mind is random precognition, limited levitation of light mattered objects, and perhaps fuzzy conversations between two minds without muttering a word. And those are the skilled ones. Elemental kinesis is ridiculous to me however. Conjuring flame with a thought is borderline magic talk.
