And i dont exactly think you got what i was saying. I was talking about humans tricking other humans into belief/disbelief of alien life. What the heck are you talking about? Im not overestimating our technology. If the government, or hell bill gates wanted us to think there were aliens, they have the technology to do it. They could "fool the masses" what is all that talk about us proving ourselves to aliens. We are debating if they are real at all, not how to contact them or prove OUR existence to them...

If u actually read the thread, u would know that debatin' the existence of life forms on other planets is exactly what this thread is 'bout, this includes provin' their existence and communicatin' wit them. It's not that I don' think that ur posts have no validity or that u don' have a right ta ur opinion, but I think that u've gotten the wrong idea 'bout this thread. Maybe u should read the entire thread 'fore u make any snap judgements. And I don' doubt the possibility that the technology exists that could allow the govt., or other entities, ta fool the masses. The question there would be; Why would they? What possible reason would they have for tryin' ta fool the public inta believin' in the existence of other life forms, then turn around and deny the existence of such beings? Wouldn' it make more sense ta prolong the hoax in order ta mask what they may or may not b truly doin'? If u stop and think 'bout it, it doesn' really make any sense for the govt. ta do all of that.

Life on Other Planets that is something very interesting .... when i was 5 years old my only dream was to fly to the stars and to go to Saturn i loved this planet very much .... and until now i want to fly to the stars and i always watching it .... i like astronomy very much and the galaxy especially Mkilk Way ..... so i will love the life on other planet.... =^_^=

I don't understand the obsession with finding other life on other planets. Scientists will say whatever comes out of their ass sometimes. As for aliens or UFO's.. As interesting as they are, I don't believe in them. Doing so is a waste of time.

My position is simple: Why are we so concerned with the rest of the Universe, when we have yet to fix the crap we started here on Earth? That said, I don't know if there's life on other planets, and I don't care. Watching Mars Attack was enough for me.

I think we've all watched a bit too much anime, where we've become accustomed to seeing people live on space stations or on other planets, or, like in the case of Trigun or Cowboy Bebop, the human race relocating somewhere else.

So scientists claim they found "water" under the crust of one of the moons of Jupiter. So what? How much of that really concerns us? Whose going on the first ship there to welcome our "new" home? Anyone? At the end of the day, it's nothing but interesting news. Not a possibility or a reality.

there are over 500 BILLION planets out there and over 100 BILLION galaxys. i would say the chances of life are far higher than most of you think.
ps. i have met an alien before. they dont talk much and dont like to stay around crowds, it only talked to me for 2 mins. but it told me that they would come soon............

How would one such as yourself know this.
I think you're just trying to make us believe you.
None of this has even been proven by the best and here you are saying you know for a fact.
As for the Alien part, I'm not believing it one bit. There's no proof, and who's again, saying, that you're jst trying to impress us or otherwise.
Unless you've got some good, hard concrete evidence to back it up, I can't trust yours (or anyone else's) judgements on this.

Actually hes close, the number of planets are in the trillions and the galaxy's in the billions. I saw a program about it on the discovery channel. They were doing something on the universe and the big bang and all that jazz.

And I've gotta say this, where's ur proof that they don' exist? Scientists r of the growin' consensus that "absense of proof isn' proof of absense." Jus' 'cause there is no "concrete" proof of the existense of somethin' doesn' mean that it doesn' exist, it jus' means that there's no proof. This is 'cause there has been many occasions where science has said that somethin' didn' exist or was a myth, only ta prove themselves incorrect later on down the road. And most scientists agree, that the chances of us bein' alone, in this entire blackness called space, r one in a billion against. In other words, we stand a much greater chance of there bein' other life forms on other planets than our bein' the only life forms ta exist. Now this doesn' mean that those life forms r even intelligent or even, in the case that they r, if they have technology that is equal to or even greater than ours. Scientists have discovered, usin' the Hubble Telescope, numerous planets that may b capable of sustainin' life. I think that it's way too premature ta, conclusively, judge whether or not there r other life forms out there.
