mocking or admiring?

i had this on my mind yesterday and i was wondering are people mocking you or trying to be like you? for example, some white people may walk around in baggy pants and talk slang and look a certain way. but that is how some black men are betrayed. and i am thinking they are trying to be cool or something but my cousin said they are mocking us. and some black girls(SOME) i sometimes hear them talk funny. they say the word "like" after everyother word and act dumb and say they are blondes. so my question is, although i know not all blacks look like that and all white girls dont talk valley girl, are people mocking you or admiring you? isince my cousin put it that way, i kinda think they are mocking but in a way admiring. tell me what you think . thanks.:thumb:

i think the white people who dress gheto are mocking the black cominuty though they will never admit it . where i live no one really talks ghetto just rednceck
and everyone life style including mine portrays this the black where i live are redneck as well they dress like rednecks and even live the life style if a redneck heck i have seen a few black with rebel flags on there vehicles lol so yea i think they do it to mock people

I'd say its all done in admiration...but in a stereotypical way. Does that make sense? hmm..

Agreed. Most people try to portray themselves differently due to admiration of certain stereotypes.

Sure there are some that mock, but then there are others that just take from their enviroment......I know plenty of white ppl that kick it around black ppl(as I do.) that, since they kick it with them, adopt slang and lifestyle choices.It's a mixed bag, as with anything. Interpret according to situation.

really? i thought it was more of mocking i mean why would any blakc person have a rebel flag on there vehicle of not for mocking? and the life atyle most of them live i mean i dont see how its not mocking the south but you could be right i guess i mean maybe therew are blacks out there that like the red neck life style it is possable i guess but i dont know

i dont know any blacks that like redneck style but some black girls around my house talk "valley girl or whatever"

oh sure, I live in hickville, usa and theres not a big black population so Id say a lot of them have been sort of "whitewashed" and have adapted to redneck style. weird phenomenon to see :p
