I don't believe homosexuality is genetic either. How can it be?

Well, if it's true that homosexuality is a defect of the brain, then I suppose it could be passed on throughout the generations. No?

It has even been scientifically proven that homosexuality is caused by a defect (I'll use the word defect as I don't recall the proper one at the time) of the brain's core.

The fact that some people "choose" to be bi- or homosexual simply means that their brains have not been as severely affected. But they have the urge for the same sex, whether they obey that urge or not

So then in that case, it is possible for it to be genetic.

Homosexuality, I mean.

I must say I agree with you on the whole, "choosing" situation. It may be willful, which means that it isn't a defect. But they still have a craving - I'm not so sure that's the right word - for the same sex. Good point, shonen.

Has anyone ever felt like a gay guy in a girl's body or a lesbian in a guy's body? I had a friend talking about that. She likes men, but feels more inclined to act like a guy, and I can understand where she's coming from . . . did that make any sense to anyone out there?

People like that usually get sex changes. They are transexuals.

We are fully aware of what transexuals are, and she's in no rush to get a sex change. She enjoys being a woman. However, she feels like she understands men a great deal better than women and so has a rapport with them. (If she did get the sex change, she would be a homosexual . . . She LIKES men.)

Well if she likes men, I see no reason for her to think of getting a sex change.

If she likes men, and is more comfortable acting like a man, in no way is she homosexual or gay. She's straight. Just a tomboy.

I wouldn't call her a "tomboy" but a gurl that has more empathy and understanding for a guy than for gurls... and that has nothing to do with homosexuality....
