Osama Obama

Barack Hussein Obama... like him or not, he's probably going to be the democratic candidate for president. But our otherwise enlightened nation seems to be having some major problems: not with a black candidate ~ but with one who, in spite of having no open connections to Islam, reminds us of the newest racial/religious phobia sweeping the nation.

We've already had multiple people "accidentally" call him "Osama" on National television:

YouTube - Obama... Osama
YouTube - NBC News Broadcast OSAMA pic instead of OBAMA !!!!

We've seen political opponents use his name against him:

We've seen FOX news claim he's a muslim and attended a muslim madrasa (when apparently he isn't and he didn't):
YouTube - Obama As A Muslim Extremist - CNN Counters FOX Lies

And now even the other democrats are apparently questioning his having worn Somali dress on a visit to Kenya:
YouTube - FOX Slams Drudge Report Inaccuracies
(why? If he had worn a kimono, would this be news?)

Now I don't have an opinion about the guy one way or another--but this is new heights of lame.

Even if he were a Muslim, what would that matter?

I'm sorry, but this is embarrasing! Can we grow up now? O-o;

I agree, we need ta grow up; or rather should I say that the media needs ta. This kind of stuff is completely unruly and uncalled for, and ta think that we rely on them for information 'bout what's goin' on in the world. It's completely childish and immature and that's why I don' watch FOX or CNN much anymore.

I agree. This is tiresome! It's like watching a bunch of spoiled kids who don't get their way on national TV. These guys make all sorts of accusations and point fingers about a man they probably have never even spoken to, let alone take time to get to know! I can understand the Osama/Obama slip up. I've done it a couple of times. I wouldn't compare the two, as that would be comparing apples and oranges; but I've accidentaly called Obama "Osama" a couple of times. Oops, LOL.

I even thought he was Muslim for a short period of time. Didn't care, but I thought he was. Even if he WAS a Muslim, I don't think it should matter. There are plenty of Muslim Black Americans, hell there's plenty Muslims in this country PERIOD. Not every Muslim is a radical Muslim! Not all Muslims want to blow up buildings or commit suicide bombings. Lots of Muslims only want the world to be a better place, like most people of other faiths.

And the whole Somali dress thing... So friggin' what??? Yeah, it woulda been SO MUCH WORSE if he showed up in a Kimono, LOL.

Like we'd all lose oxygen and suffocate if he shows up again in Somali dress.

He's half African! Let the man celebrate his heritage!

I think people should just let the man be. I mean, he's OBVIOUSLY doin' a good job at what he does, otherwise he wouldn't be on a ten state run over Hilary Clinton!

I know it doesn't have any bearing on the man, but i don't know if I can vote for a guy with the middle name of Hussein. Like with Mc Cain(SP?), he looks like hes dead. I don't know if i can vote for a guy that looks like hes got one foot in the grave. Looks like your lovable Monk here might not be voting at all this election.

Ugh... Will the stupidity of people never seace to sicken me? Once again to show how moronic most people are. I have come to the conclution that Humans are an endangerd species and are being replaced by idiotic look alikes.
More and more "news" now a days are becomeing more like high school gossup. People dont want to grow up, insted they still act like dumb stupid teenagers. For those who are ignorent... People who discriminate the man in this manner deserve corporal punishment. I just can't find any place in my head willing to let such utter racism and ignorance go unpunished.

Frankly, we do not need such completely retarded human beings on this planet. Discrimination based on his NAME? his APPEARANCE? his RELIGION? For shit sake! I know the presidential campaigns in the US are usually pretty vile but anyone letting these factors influence their vote should have the right to vote taken away from them and instead be made to write a speech on their supposed Land of the Free.

But now everyone is starting to get into it, and it's really starting to piss me off. Even fellow liberal candidates are attacking him on that!?!? And they call themselves democrats.

BTW, in the oscar's on sunday, John Stewart made a remark about that.

"I think it's great how so much of the country sees past the Obama's name. I wish I could say the same for an enterprising candidate than ran during WW2, Gaydolf Titler. He had a lot of great ideas!"
